Since I first heard about this tree from this forum, I thought I'd share
with everyone how the admin treats people. This is NOT a bad trader alert or
a warning not to sign up for any of the "GoodBear aud" trees. It's just what
happened to me. I made a simple, fairly polite request to be moved in the
structure and this is the response I got. Oh, and for you non-fishheads,
Suckdahead is a Radiators tune, it's about eatin crawfish.

Does anyone out there know which of the commercially available cdr machines (standalone audio, i don't have a computer at home, nor do i have enough money for one right now) allows the recording of live music without pauses between tracks? I went to a store and they told me all of their machines (philips, pioneer) would put a gap between tracks. Obviously, i would want to be able to make a mike's->groove into three tracks, but have them flow seamlessly, much like the way it works on a dick's picks segue... any info would be much appreciated...

Hey John,
I got to see Hornsby last night, They gave me the biggest run around, I
first got there about 45 mins early. The guy at the Board said no patches,
I explained the letter. And he said Alan was back stage and would be back at
show time. When I got back before ShowTime no one would admit to being
Allan, so I said to myself, to forget it. I had plenty of friends that had
mics set up. I went and took my seat (Amex Gold 4 row center) I used my
coresounds, and proceeded to enjoy what I perceived to be pretty good show,
train song started and I started to get that itch to stand up and dance to
that boogie feeling that Bruce can so much do with those ivories of his. We
looked around to see if we were disturbing anybody, and all we got back were
smiles, so we continued to enjoy the show, right up until Bruce ruined the
night, for my wife at least. I don't mind being embarrassed or degraded, but
Bruce started sing about moving to the side of the amphitheater if we wanted
to dance, which was fine w/ me, but I paid for good seats and didn't want to
go over to the GA portion of the show, so I sat down! which was a good waste
of dancing music.
Not to leave it at that, Bruce proceeds to chastise us, for being
inconsiderate, and not thinking of our neighbor, "being in our own trip" as
he put it. Saying we should be kind to our neighbors, Me being the guy that
I am might think of MYSELF once in a while, but far from inconsiderate to my
neighbor. And my wife, never thinks of herself first. She really wanted to
go the side to dance by herself.
I know that I was not disturbing anybody around me, due to the fact that,
that most of the people that were behind us decided to move to the side of
the place to dance.
To really top it off Bruce, people behind us later in the show yells out to
Bruce, "Can we dance Yet!" Were as Bruce then says sure if you want to
dance, Dance. Seeing people get up and dance gets Bruce to offer everyone
up on stage to dance on stage.
We sat the rest of the night!
By the way my tape on the coresounds, came out nice up until Bruce chastises
us, which then has conversation on it with my wife stating that she feels
insulted, and embarrassed .
But I do have a clean tape of this show, E-mail for details.
Peace, and if you know how to warn others of this no dancing in your seat
area, let others know of this (I believe New)Policy.
Thanks, Boca Bob Silver
PS Don't get me wrong, very Tight, and enjoyable show. But I was just
surprised!

A buddy of mine has taper tickets that he won't be
using for these shows - he's looking for a straight
trade, one taper ticket for that show, for one regular
seat (pavillion preferred) for that same night. He'd
also like to be able to do a DAT b&p for a copy of the
show. Additionally, he wants to split the tickets on
nights that he has two taper tickets available
(instead of both taper tix going to the same
individual), so that as many people with equipment as
possible are able to get in.
Don't reply to me - his email addy is carp1@siu.edu
and he'll be able to check his email this coming
Sunday.
atlanta July3-4 - 2 taper tix for each night
virginia beach - two tickets for that night
mansfield - one ticket each night

Subject: Recommend source for 4-CD binder pages?
Date: Fri, 21 May 1999 14:26:15 -0700
Hello everyone. After a long hibernation, I'm ready to start putting my
DATs onto CDR and start trading again. I've decided to try using big 3-ring
binders to store my CDs. Jewel cases are annoying, expensive, and they
always break; plus, you need shelves to store them in quantity. For me, a
big-assed 5" 3-ring binder with a ton of those little 4-CD-per-page binder
sheets seems like the best solution. Mobile, lightweight, small,
effective... a show a page, plus a place to stick the setlist. Perhaps even
a 'check-out card' for loaning pages (shows) to people. Man, is that anal
or what?
Does anyone know where I can order these sheets? Some of them are kind of
cheap (the plastic tends to rip at the sides, etc) -- any word on quality of
the sheets? The ones in my caselogic CD thing are nice, but I suspect
caselogic charges an arm and a leg for them. I'm thinking maybe office depo
or something like that, I haven't spent too much time poking around town to
find them yet.
Thanks!

Subject: FS: AKG C3000's
Date: Fri, 21 May 1999 16:06:07 -0700
Greetings everybody-
As the subject says, it looks as though I'll be
parting with my pair of AKG C3000's. Reason? Well, I just
got my bonus check from work, and I'll be upgrading to a pair
of Neumann KM184's:) I purchased the AKG's only a few months
ago as a "starter" setup to make sure I'd enjoy taping as much
as I thought I might, before investing more money in equipment.
Well, I learned quickly just how much fun it was going to be, and
I'm ready to commit more cash now. The AKG's have served me very
well, and I hope that they will find a good home and bring somebody
else the enjoyment they've brought me.
I would like to get $400 for the pair, but will consider slightly
lower offers if I can't find somebody to meet that price. I paid
$600 for them only a few months ago, but I got a few accessories
with the package that I'd like to keep. These mics are in excellent
condition, and include the swivel mounts and hard-shell padded
cases they came with. I'll also throw in a pair of 20ft cables and
clamp on mounting arms if desired. So...if you've been meaning to
jump into the pit with the rest of the loonies and start making tapes
for yourself instead of begging for a patch at every show, by all
means, get in touch with me and we'll work something out! If need
be, I'll gladly spin a show I've recorded with these mics if you
need convinced as to how good they sound.
For those that don't know, these are large diaphram mics with built-in
windscreens and shock-mounts. They have three switches (bass-rolloff,
pad, and card/hyper-card polar pattern) and require phantom power.
I'd also like to take a second to thank Phil Nazzaro, who sold me
these mics and is probably personally responsible for getting me
hooked:)
Thanks for the space!
