There shouldn't be; it should be possible to copy in either
direction. Are you sure you're plugging the cable into the correct
connectors?

Have you tried a different cable? (That's the cheapest and easiest
thing to test.) A Radio Shack $7 video cable is plenty good enough.

appeared on Sessions at west 54rth on halloween ,right before P-funk, if
anyone can make a copy of that please let me know. Thanks in Advance,

Hey all,
The 33 is a nice ENG mixer, but pricey. I'd rather spend
that kind of cash on an HHB Portadat, or new multi-track deck.
...here's a useful URL for you . . . and some snippage . . . ;)
<http://www.equipmentemporium.com>
Shure FP33 3x2 ENG The industry standard for ENG! Improved version of the FP32. 30bB quieter. Three XLR mic/line
inputs. True 48v Phantom. Tone gen and slate mic. Stereo XLR mic/line outputs. Operates from two 9v batts. $1299.00

pad, pan pot. Slate mic with sub-tone, 400Hz reference tone, limiter, XLR mono/stereo output. Overall, a lot of nice
features for the money! $799.00
Shure FP410 4x Intellimixer 4 input semi-automatic mixer cuts between persons speaking so that only one mic is
open at a time. Operates from AC or 9v batteries. $1285.00
Shure M367 portable 6x1 mixer For those who can't afford the FP33, this is a nice alternative for ENG. Features 6 mic/line
XLR inputs, 48v Phantom mic powering,mic/line XLR outputs, tone gen. Operates from AC or two internal 9v batteries. $625.00
Samson Mixpad4 portable mixer Inexpensive, compact mixer ideal for low budget video or film. Features 2 XLR mic
inputs, 1 stereo 1/4 inch line input,, hi/mid/lo eq, 1 Aux outs, 2 line outs. Runs off of two 9v batteries, inlcudes an AC
power supply. Not a Mackie, but very usable with prosumer camcorders. $189.00
Behringer MX802a 4 XLR mic inputs plus 4 stereo line pairs. 48v Phantom. 3 channel EQ, pan pots, 2 Aux sends.
Rotary controls. Operates from external AC power supply, but works quietly with most inverters. The best buy in
an inexpensive, yet fully professional audio mixing board. $225.00
Behringer MX1602a similar to above, but features sliding fader controls. 4 XLR mic inputs plus 4 stereo line pairs.
48v Phantom. 2 channel EQ, pan pots, 2 Aux sends. Operates from external AC power supply, but works quietly
with most inverters. Solo/PFL monitoring. $299.00

In a concert setting, is there a big disadvantage to using the D-8's automatic

Hello,
I am wanting to build a battery pack for my DTR-80P. Can someone tell me the
dimensions of the coaxial power plug. I tried 4.0mm x1.7mm (EIAJ2) and the
OD was too small. I'm suspecting 4.75mm x1.7mm (EIAJ3). Anyone know for
sure? While I'm here does anyone know how low a voltage it'll run on?
Thanks,
Alan

Subject: Brickwalling question - help!
Date: Sun, 21 Nov 1999 14:15:51 -0500
Howdy datheads :)
I'm using a M1 with CSC's (with battery box). I've gotten really nasty
brickwalling once, because of my own stupidity I had the -20db switch
flipped off. I'm curious tho, if brickwalling can happen to less of an
extreme. Please take a look at http://rudolf.simplenet.com/brickwall.gif
and tell me if that is brickwalling or something else. The wave form gets
cut off, but I don't get much (maybe a tiny bit) of the static that I did
when I had the -20 switch off.
This only happens very occasionally and the show pictured in the above link
is the most extreme case of this. Assuming that it is brickwalling, would
you recommend that I go with the 11db or 20db Attenuator Cable offered by CS?
Thanks a bunch,
rudy
