ISO: Free Standing DBX Unit or older cassette deck with the DBX feature. Unfortunately ALL my early 80's masters have the DBX encoded. Im in the process of transferring to DAT when my deck died. Please make me a deal or point me in the right direction. It also plays back only through the Dish receiver. Yes, DVHS is a very interesting format, but models with built in circuity to record and play back analog signals in digital are mostly over $1000. Also, the tape is pretty expensive, though some people have gotten away with SVHS tape which is only moderately expensive. --Gary
From: Bmisch773@aol.com Subject: Stand alone help Date: Sun, 4 Mar 2001 20:49:43 EST A really nice friend gave me a stand alone burner(no manual ) and i cant seem to get it to burn from my home dat.Its a phillips CDR-765 and i have it conected to my sony 670 Dat via a optical cable.It sets up as ready to burn, then the record and the opt. flash and i cant get levels,i was told to just hit record then play and thats it.If any one could help me ill burn them a fat disk ,Thanks Bob
