My Old Yamaha K-1000 w/ DBX just died.
ISO: Free Standing DBX Unit or older cassette deck with the DBX feature.
Unfortunately ALL my early 80's masters have the DBX encoded.
Im in the process of transferring to DAT when my deck died.
Please make me a deal or point me in the right direction.

I think the "catch" on this low-priced DVHS machine is it does not
contain D>A or A>D circuitry... it can only record a signal that's
already in digital, in this case, from the Dish satellite network. It
also plays back only through the Dish receiver.
Yes, DVHS is a very interesting format, but models with built in
circuity to record and play back analog signals in digital are mostly
over $1000. Also, the tape is pretty expensive, though some
people have gotten away with SVHS tape which is only moderately
expensive.

3/2/01 Ben Harper show in Charlottesville, VA
Hey, had some friends who went to this show, I couldn't make it to tape it,
just wondering if anyone caught it on tape. I'd really like to trade for a
copy. Check my list and let me know...
