Looking for Tiny Universe at Tip's on 5 May. My list is linked in my sig.
Also, any of the Radiator's Jazz Fest shows/in store appearances.
BWT: to the first message I receive after I get back from Poncho Sanchez on
Thursday Night (I am on the left coast and normally get back from week night
shows at B.U.T. around 01:15 or so) your pick of any single tape show for
free (I pay postage and tape). What makes it interesting is it is a crap
shoot, I can not say with accuracy when I will be in.

I apologize for the off topic post, but I have lost track of all my trades
over the past few weeks, as I was moving and all my tapes and equipment were
boxed up. I am pretty sure I have everyone covered (meaning I have your
address and tapes ready to go) but I can't remember if I have everyone
accounted for. If you have sent me tapes or set up a trade with me recently
please send me a note so I can make sure I have your stuff finished. I thank
you for the trade and your patience.
Thanks,
Wes

I am looking for the first two DMB shows I ever received on analogs. I have
been looking for them for years, but have never seen a DSBD or CSBD of either
on anyone's list. If you have either of these two shows and will set up a
trade with me, I would be most appreciative:
The 11/9/93 was the album release party for "Remember Two Things". The tape I
had was definitely a SBD.
The 11/3/92 (not to be mistaken with the Birthday show for Carter, 11/2/93)
was election night in 1992. Dave talks about losing all his hair. This show
had an incredible version of Two Step, and that's really why I want the show
(although the rest is great too).
Thanks,
Wes

Subject: PCM-M1 on mixing desk ?
Date: Thu, 10 May 2001 04:39:41 -0500
Hi=20
I am going to a concert next week and I might be able to plug-in my
PCM-M1 to the mxing desk. I don't have an attenuation cable.
Will I get a good sound, so no distortion ? I've tried this in the past
with a TCD-D7 and got lot of distortion due to the 'hot' signal from
the mixing desk. I know the input cirquits have been improved on
the PCM-M1, but is it good enough ? Will it also be good enough=20
when the battery voltage starts dropping ? Or is an attentuation cable
a 'must' ?
Any info would be very much appreciated. If I risc getting a distorted
recording, I might as well go for the good 'ol audience recording....
Take care,
JeroenZ

Check your medicine cabinets for medicated salves 'cause this a' here tape
is gonna make your balls sore.
Before I get into it I have one caveat to offer: Cable problems during
Elevation, took the first few minutes of the song to get both channels to
kick it, but once I wrapped the pre-to-deck cable tightly around the deck I
revived the channel. Haven't tracked thru the whole dat yet but from my
monitoring during the show that should be the only flaw. A show of hands to
people who think Radio Shack patch cables suck...anyone?...anyone?
Now here's the other thing, this came out a tad better than the Minneapolis
some of you may have seen me offer up a week ago, mostly in terms of
audience rejection; the audience noise for this tape is a bit more in the
background than for the Minne, evened out, the way it should be.
For this I'm only looking for the following shows. Once again would prefer
CDR but if you have one of the following and would prefer a dat swap i'll
accommidate.
Denver April 6
San Diego April 17-complete
Anaheim April 23-24-26
Cleveland may 3
Lexington may 4
Pittsburgh may 6
Columbus May 7
Indianapolis May 10
I know not everyone is happy about the way I'm trading these out up to this
point but please be patient, as soon as I get the shows and the trading of
the shows out of the way I will be offering up all my tapes for general
trade. In the meantime, once again, please have patience and please no
grovels
Once again, thanx for the space

I was of the impression that you could burn VCDs on your regular
old CDR burner. I seem to remember reading about it on the old
Adaptec newsletters they send out to registered users. I think
they changed their name to Sonix now, but I still get newsletters
from Dierdre. I think you just have to get the file in MPEG
format and burn it.
Am I off the wall, or is this correct?

> Taiyo-Yuden? I am curious about both 74 and 80 minute CDRs.
Klone CDRs use a silver+gold dye layer. Very similar to Mitsui and Kodak.
So similar, until recently, there were several copyright infringement
lawsuits
pending. Thankfully they have all been resolved.
The discs themselves are made by CMC Magnetics in Tawian. Thousands of
people have not "judged the book by the cover" but instead have judged the
Klone
disc by the results it offers. Those results are flawless. I have
personally burned
1000's of these. They play on every CD player and the data extracts
perfectly
everytime. This disc now outsells every other disc we sell, including
Mitsui,
TDK, Taiyo Yuden and Kodak.
PLUS, the Klone disc has THE BEST protective top coat on the planet.
Guaranteed not to flake, peel or chip unlike many of the other discs listed
above.
Right now is a great time to give our Klone discs a try. We are currently
offering a tremendous spring sale:
KLONE CDR's 74 and 80 min (Your choice branded or unbranded)
Klone CDR74 (Un)Branded/ 100 Spindle your choice $39.96

Klone CDR80 (Un)Branded/ 100 Spindle your choice $45.96

We have also put our Klone digital audio CDRs on sale for our
customers with consumer units.

Anybody have any Slaid Cleaves Band to trade.
I have some stuff from the northeast but am seriously looking for anything
from Texas with his producer, Gurf Morlix.
I just saw Slaid last Sunday at the Morrison Mansion in Middletown, NY.
He played with the venerable Oliver Steck on sqeezebox, trumpet, etc. a
real nice surprise came from Jeff Plankenhorn on the Dobro.
This guy smokes the strings and at 28 he still has most of his adult life
ahead of him!
Please give me a shout if you have anything to trade and by all means go
see his "World Tour" when they come through your parts.

You Been Warned! Hank WIlliams III is 100% Taper Friendly
WHEN THE NAME HANK III IS MENTIONED IN
Nashville, the word "trouble" usually follows.
He is probably Music Row's worst nightmare. And his fans love him for it.
Hank Williams III is carrying on the family tradition.....
Being that Shelton Hank Williams III is the grandson of perhaps the biggest
legend in country music and the son of a living one, it's expected he would
follow in their footsteps. And he has, if you count cussin' and raisin'
hell.
The change in style from night to night and sometimes from set to set really
makes Williams two artists in one - and a can't-miss ticket for the fan with
a real sense of adventure.
"It's completely Jekyll and Hyde schizophrenia, but I'm only gonna be able
to do that for so long." He said it's hard screaming one night and then
singing and yodeling the next.
Williams can be volatile, and he is known for bringing an unpredictable mix
of punk rock and country into the same show.
"There's 800 freaks there and then there's two assholes with cowboy hats
giving me shit up front the hardcore redneck dickheads who wanted to beat my
ass after the show and waited out by my bus for three hours."
Williams handled the situation by pointing out the "jerkoffs" and having the
audience give them a collective "F**k you!"
He said he's amazed at how much music can upset people.
"I've had my whole band surrounded by security and bar owners because we
played a rock show in a country club, threatening to kick our ass," he said.
"It makes me wish I had a few Hell's Angels out there with us keeping us
protected sometimes because we can get all beat up, but then we have to take
two months of work off to heal."
On the other side of the coin are the elderly Hank Sr. fans who experience a
sense of nostalgia by seeing the young Williams, who looks a lot like his
grandfather. He's had to turn a lot of them away from rock shows but at his
country concerts, the older folks have stopped to say, "Your grandpa would
be so proud."
Shelton 'Hank' Williams III is 100% TAPER Friendly....
and the current Melvins tour makes 2 Taper Friendly bands in 1 awesome night
of Sound you will never have experienced before...
