From: Stephen Griffiths <steve@stevegriff.com> Subject: WTD: Beck '94 shows Date: 18 May 2001 19:56:12 +0000 Hi people This may be a long shot. But does anyone have any DAT's of Beck's 94. I'm asking because I have some 3rd generation shows on cassette that have probably come from these DAT's. Just trying out. Loads to trade Steve

From: "WJLP" <veemeser@velocitus.net> Subject: ISO Sony RK-DA10P Cable/FS or Trade--Audio Magic Mic Cables Date: Fri, 18 May 2001 13:36:34 -0700 well, i'm still iso a sony RK-DA10P cable. my international contacts came up empty-handed--and guys, i appreciate your help. anyone have one they want to sell? i don't need a 7pin>coax i/o cable. i already have one of those. i don't want one that needs to be repaired either. i'd prefer one that is new or near new. if anyone has one and doesn't need it, lmk. no non-sony cables. also, i have a pair of audio magic xstream 15' xlr mic cables i don't need i use kcy's ). if anyone needs some mic cables, i'd be up for just about any type of trade ( cables for tunes? ), or if someone wants to buy them, make me an offer. they are just sitting in a cabinet. used twice. thanx, bill

He purchased to archive his vinyl record collection and his band's old shows (High & Lonesome) after seeing my Tasccam 700 in action. He didn't realize the fuss involved in id'ing tracks etc... from cassette and vinyl. He has all original packing and material. $449 His name and email address: David Zollo trailer@avalon.net mitch

Date: Fri, 18 May 2001 17:34:21 -0700 (PDT) --WebTV-Mail-19461-594 Content-Type: Text/Plain; Charset=US-ASCII Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit ...i've been ripped off. not in a trade or a b&p but in a money transaction. last February, DAN MACHERAS offered up the sale of a Zefiro inbox to this list. i jumped on this offer as i was in the market for one of these units and figured i might as well save some money than pay full price. big mistake on my part. i figured this guy was trustworthy since i had seen him post to this list quite a few times w/ various information. it wasnt like i was replying to some 'no-name' that just popped up out of no where. i went ahead and sent $250 cash in exchange for the box. (the day i sent the money was: 03-01-01) a month went by, no inbox. a lil bit over a month & 1/2 after i initially sent the cash out (04-24 to be exact) i get an email saying that his schools mail system screwed up and never sent the box out. i accepted this as truth. Dan said that he would send the box out again but this time he would use the "real worlds post office". that was 4 weeks ago, still no box!!! and now this DAN MACHERAS isnt responding to emails. i now doubt that this inbox even exists. i've learned my lesson~ i usually always buy my equipment brand new (from companies) , this time i opted not to, and what seemed to be a good thing>> backfired. from here on out, i will continue buying my equipment from businesses > from people that understand what it is to work for money> not to thieve others for it. FWIW, heres DANs info.. including the email he sent me saying that he received the cash i sent, (an email that i received 2 weeks after i sent the cash out, another indication as to what was about to happen to me): DAN MACHERAS 320 WASHINGTON STREET BOX 1727 N.EASTON, MA. 02357 BWT, i'll take a few for DAT b&p's off of my list- email me and i'll send it out to you. peace and frowns, marty "done being patient" skillen --WebTV-Mail-19461-594 Content-Disposition: Inline Content-Type: Message/RFC822 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7Bit Received: from smtpin-102-10.bryant.webtv.net (209.240.198.233) by storefull-136.iap.bryant.webtv.net with WTV-SMTP; Mon, 12 Mar 2001 11:52:07 -0800 (PST) Received: by smtpin-102-10.bryant.webtv.net (WebTV_Postfix) id 119BC65; Mon, 12 Mar 2001 11:52:11 -0800 (PST) Delivered-To: leshbombz@webtv.net Received: from imo-m06.mx.aol.com (imo-m06.mx.aol.com [64.12.136.161]) by smtpin-102-10.bryant.webtv.net (WebTV_Postfix) with ESMTP id 45FBD37 for <leshbombz@webtv.net>; Mon, 12 Mar 2001 11:52:10 -0800 (PST) Received: from Glide2Flip@aol.com by imo-m06.mx.aol.com (mail_out_v29.5.) id 2.89.3916d98 (15886) for <leshbombz@webtv.net>; Mon, 12 Mar 2001 14:48:36 -0500 (EST) Received: from web48.aolmail.aol.com (web48.aolmail.aol.com [205.188.161.9]) by air-id08.mx.aol.com (v77_r1.21) with ESMTP; Mon, 12 Mar 2001 14:48:36 -0500 Date: Mon, 12 Mar 2001 14:48:36 EST From: Glide2Flip@aol.com Subject: Re: Zefiro Inbox To: <leshbombz@webtv.net> Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit X-Mailer: Unknown (No Version) Message-ID: <89.3916d98.27de8214@aol.com> marty, i just picked up my mail and i got your money-i'll send the box out today. thanks again and enjoy. -dan --WebTV-Mail-19461-594--

From: "Michael Ryan" <beerman@gte.net> Subject: ISO contacts for.... Date: Fri, 18 May 2001 23:30:41 -0700 Hey Now All ! I am in search of the right contacts for the following bands as I will be trying to tape them at a no taping venue. I have taped Little Feat at this venue before, and as they are quite taper friendly, there was no problem. I have talked with the stage manager and have been informed that if I get PRIOR authorization from the band(s) there should be no problem if I am willing to be subtle about it. So if anybody can help me with road manager, soundman or who in the band I need to talk to this will be much easier. If anybody can get word to those people before that I will be asking for them so much better! Of course I will offer up to the list all shows providing they come out worth while. The performers are... Dr. John Gatemouth Brown Riders in the Sky Del McCoury ( I assume he is still Mics only ) Jorma and Jack Country Joe McDonald John Prine Rodney Crowell Jerry Jeff Walker David Bromberg Tom Rush Patty Larkin Vance Gilbert Thanks for any and all info, Peace, Michael B/W Tax I will take the first from each time zone in the states, B+P DAT only for the following ; Tony Furtado Band 5/15/01 2 sets with Hanuman opener DSBD>DA-P1 or Wil Bernard & Motherbug 5/11/01 2 sets DSBD>DA-P1 Please send request to < luv2brew@yahoo.com > and state your time zone

From: Niall Connors <niallc@mediaone.net> Subject: Seeking Van Morrison 30.Apr.01 Lowell, Mass. Date: Sat, 19 May 2001 10:14:05 -0400 Looking for a DAT or CDR (from DAT) of the Van Morrison show from Lowell (Mass.) on 30.Apr.01 Due to a number of technical and logistical issues confronting several reliable tapers that evening, the Van Morrison tape-trading community is desperate to obtain a complete DAT/CDR of the show. I have more than 800 Van shows on CDR, as well as access to a strong library of Van on DAT. Thanks and best regards, Niall
