This may be a long shot. But does anyone have any DAT's of Beck's 94.
I'm asking because
I have some 3rd generation shows on cassette that have probably come
from these DAT's.

well,
i'm still iso a sony RK-DA10P cable. my international contacts came up
empty-handed--and guys, i appreciate your help. anyone have one they want
to sell? i don't need a 7pin>coax i/o cable. i already have one of those.
i don't want one that needs to be repaired either. i'd prefer one that is
new or near new. if anyone has one and doesn't need it, lmk. no non-sony
cables.
also, i have a pair of audio magic xstream 15' xlr mic cables i don't need
i use kcy's ). if anyone needs some mic cables, i'd be up for just about
any type of trade ( cables for tunes? ), or if someone wants to buy them,
make me an offer. they are just sitting in a cabinet. used twice.

Bought new about a month and half ago and used twice. He purchased to archive
his vinyl record collection and his band's old shows (High & Lonesome) after
seeing my Tasccam 700 in action. He didn't realize the fuss involved in
id'ing tracks etc... from cassette and vinyl. He has all original packing and
material. $449

Village Underground in NY. May 24 through 27. I'll be attending the

...i've been ripped off. not in a trade or a b&p but in a money
transaction.
last February, DAN MACHERAS offered up the sale of a Zefiro inbox to
this list. i jumped on this offer as i was in the market for one of
these units and figured i might as well save some money than pay full
price. big mistake on my part. i figured this guy was trustworthy
since i had seen him post to this list quite a few times w/ various
information. it wasnt like i was replying to some 'no-name' that just
popped up out of no where.
i went ahead and sent $250 cash in exchange for the box. (the day i
sent the money was: 03-01-01) a month went by, no inbox. a lil bit over
a month & 1/2 after i initially sent the cash out (04-24 to be exact) i
get an email saying that his schools mail system screwed up and never
sent the box out. i accepted this as truth. Dan said that he would send
the box out again but this time he would use the "real worlds post
office".
that was 4 weeks ago, still no box!!! and now this DAN MACHERAS isnt
responding to emails. i now doubt that this inbox even exists.
i've learned my lesson~ i usually always buy my equipment brand new
(from companies) , this time i opted not to, and what seemed to be a
good thing>> backfired. from here on out, i will continue buying my
equipment from businesses > from people that understand what it is to
work for money> not to thieve others for it.
FWIW, heres DANs info.. including the email he sent me saying that he
received the cash i sent, (an email that i received 2 weeks after i sent
the cash out, another indication as to what was about to happen to me):

i had a little problem, someone spilled a little beer on my deck =3D
lastnight, i dried it off very quickly, and everything worked fine =3D
running for the next 45 mins. i got home and dried it off very =3D
thoroughly, without opening the deck and messing around, juust checked =
=3D
for moisture. my problem is that now my indiglo light is now done i =3D
think. anyone ever had this problem or know how this can be repaired? =
=3D

Hey Now All !
I am in search of the right contacts for the following bands as I will
be trying to tape them at a no taping venue. I have taped Little Feat at
this venue before, and as they are quite taper friendly, there was no
problem. I have talked with the stage manager and have been informed that if
I get PRIOR authorization from the band(s) there should be no problem if I
am willing to be subtle about it.
So if anybody can help me with road manager, soundman or who in the
band I need to talk to this will be much easier. If anybody can get word to
those people before that I will be asking for them so much better! Of course
I will offer up to the list all shows providing they come out worth while.

Due to a number of technical and logistical issues
confronting several reliable tapers that evening, the
Van Morrison tape-trading community is desperate to
obtain a complete DAT/CDR of the show.
I have more than 800 Van shows on CDR, as well as
access to a strong library of Van on DAT.
