You are ending up with three devices all wired together on the same circuit. If the other deck is shorting out, it's going to mess up the signal between the Inbox and both decks. If you want to share your signal, get an active splitter that isolates your deck from others. /Jimmy ------------------------------ From: "vito" Subject: Norfolk Va, Cajun Fest Date: Fri, 22 Jun 2001 17:28:35 -0700 Is there a Norfolk area taper (or even someone just visiting) catching Cowboy Mouth, Little Feat, and the Radiators this weekend? If so I would love to set up a trade. I had planned on sticking around Norfolk this weekend and tape the shows, but circumstances dictated that I come home instead. BWT- your choice from my list, to the first person who has their message arrive in my mail box after noon PDT Saturday. I will cover the B&P. I am looking for any Clapton show (in particular a show from the Journeyman tour) or Robert Plant from 2001. I will offer B&P later but for now just the traders. I can do DAT or CD. The sound is surprisingly great. I had perfect seats stage left. There was a disturbing individual that whistles occasionally right in front of me. I also missed the first minute or so due to my stupidity. Date: Fri, 22 Jun 2001 20:42:49 -0700 I'm going to try to record the show tomorrow at the Gorge Amph using Nak CM 300's>>Sony MD but this will be my first time using the Naks and damn their big!!! Wish me luck!! I'd like to know how long the show or sets are running so I can flip at the best oppertune time. Also...I have a Sony MZ-R37 MD recorder which sucks because you cannot adjust the recording level without pushing pause. When using my Audio Technicha AT-822, I could record safely with the levels as follows: Line 1 represents the printed "level" meter on MD player. With the 822, I could record safely with the levels peaking at the second broken line. Line two represents the safe digital signal of the recording level. 1. _____ _ _ _ _ _ ________ 2. Anyone possibly use the same rig before and know if I can go higher being that the Naks are a better mic being able to pick up or take in a stronger signal. Do I make any sense & do any of you DAT guys even care? :) Is anyone else planning on taping so I can just enjoy my acid? What was my original question? How long is the show? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks, Chris ------------------------------ From: "Chris Mescia" Subject: ISO:t-bar and mic cables Date: Fri, 22 Jun 2001 23:58:03 -0400 hey now! I am looking for a standard, adjustable t-bar and some ~15ft quality XLR mic cables that someone is wanting to sell. Unfortunately, I get no results when I press the record button in C.E.P. (just a counting counter with nothing recording). I can see that the optical cable coming out of the C02 is emitting a red light, so I assume all is well until there (it's then plugged into the daughter card of the Zoltrix Nightingale). I have played with the all of levels in the volume control in Win2K to no avail. Under the "Settings" tab in C.E.P., I can see that "it sees" my card and has it pegged for input/output. I also gave the Zoltrix software that came with the card a try, but it locked the computer up hard several times. The soundcard drivers are installed correctly (i.e. it plays cd's great). Any suggestions? It's hard to ask intelligent questions when you have no idea... After Doyle finished I headed out to grab something to eat & use the bathrooms. Had the M1 in my pocket & as I was coming ou of the mens room, someone enteringpushed the door into me hitting my pocket with the M1 in it. I went back to a stall & checked out the deck & it looked OK & was getting signal, so headed back to the floor. After listening to the DATs today, Doyles set sounds GREAT, unfortunately, the whole Clapton show is RUINED. Every time the levels advance a little the sound fills with static & distortion. I've tried both sets of mics I have & the problem seems to be in the deck...BUMMER! Can anyone suggest what probably happenned, where to get repairs &how much this might cost. Unfortunately no taping tonight at MSG. TIA for any help/suggestions. The deck is only about 9 mos. old, but I never purchaced an extended warranty, so looks like it'll cost me. Other than this, the M1 has been used very carefully & never abused or dropped. Price isn't too much of an issue.
