It works great and I am almost satisfied with it except for when I have to flip the mini disk mid song. So, this has made me want to upgrade to a DAT. I am wondering if anyone is trying to sell their set up, or know of a good place I can buy one for a reasonable price. (I am not exactly sure what a reasonable price is but I have about $500 to spend) Also, my last question, I have a set of core sounds binaural mics that I use with the minidisk, can I use them with a DAT? Thanks in advance for any help offered. All drivers included. All manuals, CD, the origial box/shrinkwrap and receipt for it as included. I believe the card retails for around $220 but I am willing to sell it for $170. Would be willing to trade it for a DATport if available. It is a great card and hopefully someone on this list could do well by it. Please email me privately if you are interested. ===== Jeff ------------------------------ From: Brian Nichols Subject: FS: Mic stand & battery system. Date: Mon, 23 Jul 2001 10:04:05 -0700 (PDT) For sale: Bogen 3076 mic/light stand. 17 ft extension. 1/4"-20 tip. I have used it only once and decided that I did not need a stand that extends that high. I can ship in its original box. Mint condition. $70 + shipping. I will throw in the 3/8" to 5/8" adaptor so you can use a standard t-bar. You still need to obtain a 1/4" to 3/8" adaptor. Most people use the Bogen 3102 rapid adaptor clamp ($13 at http://www.adoramacamera.com). You could use the cheaper Bogen 3103 thread adaptor ($4) instead. Power Sonic PS1270 12 volt 7 AmpHour battery and PSC12800A 12 volt battery float charger. The battery has +/- metal tabs, but no other connectors. The charger has the lamp cord extruding from it, but no connectors. You will need to solder on the connectors of your choice to these components. $20 + shipping for the pair. I can sell these items separately. Since the battery system would be expensive to ship versus its value, I would prefer to sell this to someone who lives/works near Cupertino, CA to avoid shipping costs. -Brian _______________________________________________________ Send a cool gift with your E-Card http://www.bluemountain.com/giftcenter/ ------------------------------ From: "ThatDamnBand" Subject: Once again Hank Williams III welcomes Video/DAT/MD/tapers... Date: Mon, 23 Jul 2001 20:02:04 +0200 Hi all, Just curious to know if someone has a nice vision for the future of bootlegs. Does for example Internet/high speed cable downloading, end the sales of bootlegs? (buyer: ,,I can download that recording for free, why buy an expensive bootleg''?). (seller: ,,I don't sell bootlegs anymore because its too risky and everybody downloads them). Or is it just us (datheads/readers/bootlegcollectors) who found a cheaper way, leaving the majority of the consumers still buying the expensive ones? Please reply to the list, Bas (ps i know tapers are not bootleggers (in many cases), so don't flame me about that) :-) _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ From: RAM110@aol.com Subject: ISO : 7/10/01 7/22/01 Phil / Ratdoggy Date: Mon, 23 Jul 2001 14:37:55 EDT Looking for 7/10/01 Phil / Ratdoggy as well as 7/22/01. Purchased new in the Spring of 98 from Sonic Sense. I do not have the original black plastic cases that they came in although I do have a small Pelican case which houses the 2 perfectly. For those of you not familliar with the C3000's, they are large diaphragm with cardiod and hyper-cardiod patterns which can be changed at the flick of a switch. Each mic also has 10 db pads as well as a bass rolloff option. The mic's are in perfect shape, although one has a small scratch on it. A really good pair of mic's to get started with, or to make quality tapes for the $$$$$. The only reason why I am selling them is because I just got a pair of Schoeps. That's not correct; it depends, for instance, on which bits are in error (high bit errors distort a lot more than low bit errors). More important than that, by far, is the fact that errors up to a certain level are correctable, so the output is exactly correct. Seth ------------------------------ From: "William J.
