I'm not sure what you are implying here. The PS-2 definitely supplies
a full 48 V to the mics. I've done some extensive power requirement
testing and have measure the loaded voltage at the mic bodies with
various voltages to the PS-2. I get 51.1 V from mine with voltages
at the PS-2 down to 5.4 volts. I've powered the PS-2 with a 6V
eco-charge (they recommend 7-12) and although the low-battery light
was on continuously, I still got a 100% consistant 51.1V at the mics.
The unit draws about 70 mA when powering my Oktava MC-012's at full
SPL. With a 9V Duracell Ultra, I get over 4 hours use with full 51.1V.
What do 2 PS-1's have on a single PS-2 except more bulk?

Subject: Trey Deer Creek 7-22-01 grovel
Date: Thu, 6 Sep 2001 00:36:27 -0500
Hello all -
I'm trying to help out a non-trading friend of mine who's anxiously seeking
a copy of the Trey show from Deer Creek (a.k.a. the Verizon Wireless Center)
on 7/22/01. I have very little Phish to trade (basically just the Halloween
shows and the DSOTM show from Utah a couple of years ago), but I do have a
few thousand hours on DAT of other artists that I could use in trade . . .
or for that matter, I would be very happy to do B&P for anyone who'd be
willing to help me out. I don't normally trade with anyone who's heavily
into Phish, but since this list is so predominantly full of Phish tapers, I
was hoping that someone would be willing to help me out. CDR would be
preferred, but I'd be happy with any format.
Anyone who's willing to help please drop me a note at
ademotte@interaccess.com.
Also, I'm looking for any high-quality Clapton from the current tour. I
only have a handful from the current tour, but have about 500 EC shows from
various eras that I could offer in trade.
Thanks in advance -
Andy DeMotte

I emailed this out a day or two ago but I don't think it made it.
Advance apologies for cross posting.
======== Original Message ========
It was noted that there was some subtle diginoise during Mason's
Children: d2t05 2:34 and 4:04.
A clean DAT arrived yesterday compliments of Chris Wallace and I was
able to overwrite the .wav file with a couple of short & clean segments.
The boundaries of that track are unaffected and as such it
"inserts" seamlessly between the existing tracks that surround it.
Simply download the new track and checksum files
CR01-06-10d2t05fix.shn
CR01-06-10d2fix.md5 (this will check all tracks on that disc)
and you can reburn the 2nd audio disc with the old tracks 1-4,6-8
and the new/fixed track 5.
The ever generous Rod Nayfield has the new .shn files up on his server
in both a new folder with just the fixes as well as the d2 folder.
http://www.ptt.nycheads.com/rabbit/CR01-06-10/
I'm looking for a crisp, complete, flawless copy of Phil 12/31/00
if anyone can provide me with a l/p or a website for download
or wants to setup a quick trade or B&P
Enjoy.
peace, further...

Subject: Offical Semi-Retirement Sale (RFS)
Date: Thu, 06 Sep 2001 09:24:15 -0400
My apologies for the cross-post. The time has come to say goodbye, yes this
is my official semi-retirement notice.
For the next two years I will be working full-time and attending an MBA
program at Columbia University; basically I will have zero time for taping
until I graduate. Instead leaving my rig in the closet to collect dust, I
would rather get it out there, where it belongs, to be used and enjoyed. In
an effort to keep this rig in taping community, I am attempting to avoid
online auctions. Offers will be accepted over the next 2 weeks at:
johnnylongwood@hotmail.com
Pair Neumann TLM-170R large diaphragm mics (5 switch able polar patterns)
includes:
>>Pelican hard shell case (just big enough for the mics) w/ cutout foam
>>interior pair of Neumann 10 meter cables
>>pair of Neumann windscreens
>>owners manuals
Apogee AD1000, includes:
>>(2) 15 pin cables w/ S/PDIF pigtails
>>owners manual
Sony TCD-D10 Pro MkII (same as Pro 2) includes:
>>owners and repair manuals
>>sony 12 pin to AES/EBU cable, 12 pin mic pistol grip/wired remote control
>>(2) cables to go from AES/EBU to S/PDIF (1 in, 1 out)
>>(3) Sony rechargeable NiCad batteries (internal) and charger
>>AC and DC adapters (DCP-80 for running off external batteries)

Note: Pro Digital recently tuned up this deck. Everything is clean and in
very good working condition.
Sealed Lead Acid (SLA) Batteries (Gel Cells):
>>(2) 12V 7.2 amp hr
>>(2) 12V12 amp hr
>>(2) "wall wart" style chargers
Porta Brace Bag (this bag was originally designed to house a video camera
and will carry this entire rig)
>>Extremely durable
>>Cushioned Leather Strap
>>Interior is heavily padded to protect your gear
>>Variety of pockets and compartments
Digital Patch Bay
>>1 S/PDIF input, 5 S/PDIF outputs

Sony PCM R-300 Home Deck
>>Orignal Box, Manual & Remote
Bogen/Manfrotto Stands (black in color)
>>(1) 8' Mic Stand (1) 12' Mic Stand
My preference is to sell everything at once, offers for the rig in its
entirety will receive additional consideration (discounted total price).
That may or may not happen, so offers for individual items are welcomed.
Located ~20 miles due West of NYC in New Jersey, 07901, buyer to pay actual
shipping and insurance costs (obviously this is free if you arrange to pick
up the gear). Feel free to email me with any questions.
Interesting Wrinkle: If the buyer for my entire rig would prefer a pair of
Neumann SKM-140's, I know of a taper who has expressed interested in
substituting his 140's for the 170's and is willing to pay the difference.
It's been loads of fun, best of luck, and I'll be seein' you soon. Sad to
say, but who's got my patch???

An old friend of mine lives in Seattle and is bummed out that she just
discovered that Oscar Peterson is playing out there and is sold out. If
anyone has an extra and/or is going and taping, she would be overjoyed to
hear about it. Time is short.
Likewise, she went to parts of the fest this past weekend and is amazed
that people were actually taping (she's a bit naive), and would dearly love
the Ween set. If you're willing to hook me up on a B & P, LMK.
Please email if you can help.
Thanks a bunch.

We have the ZA2 Digital Interface installed on the only ISA slot on my AMD

The drivers are installed and recognized. Soundforge 4.5 is installed and

The D8 is running the 7pin into the S/PDIF (coax) Digital input on the back
of the ZA2.
Now what?
The D8 was recorded and is being played back at 44.1. When a new window is
open and started, the rate of 44.1 is selected but an error comes up saying
the input signal is at 48. Because of this, we can't even get a recording
going.
So, if anyone out there can help step us through transferring D8>cpu with a
ZA2 and Soundforge, it would be much appreciated.
Also, can you run the ZA2 and Soundblaster card at the same time. If so, how
do I get the computer to recognize both cards with no conflict?
i'm sure this is just the begining of questions, but i really need some help
here.
thanks,

Hi! I have the 25.Aug.01 Bjork show from Paris for trade. This was the
presentation of her new album "Vespertine". The venue (St. Chapelle) was a
small church with about 100 people on the audience. I've got a nice DAT
recording of the show, please send your lists for a trade.

hey now!
I have a friend who is selling his tool tix for dayton, Oh. His name is
Steve Cecil scecil@npc.net
The best sucess I have had at the nutter center in dayton has been from the
lower level, not the floor, because the speakers hang so high from the
ceiling. he has kind tickets on the left side 11 rows up. should sound
nice. HE ONLY NEEDS FACE VALUE which is 85.55 for the pair including the
ticketbastard fees.
Section 219 row 11 seats 1 and 2 (even though it is sec 219, it is not the
upper level...the lower levels start in the 200s)
He is selling it through ebay, but if you don't want to go through them, you
can reach him via email. here is his ebay link...it includes a seating
chart map.
http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?MfcISAPICommand=ViewItem&item=12723
25642
he will send them via fed express or whatever you need to get them quick.
He is quite reliable. I would like to get them to a taper, since these
seats will sound terrific, but that is not a must. If it goes to a taper,
please let us b&p or trade for them. The only other tool show I have
mastered was from 96, but I have a ton of other stuff to trade (~4000hrs
digital).

please e-mail the below addys if you would like to send a reply
Please feel free to cut and paste this message on other lists or to anyone
you think might be interested. DBB is looking for tapers with their own rigs
meaning mics, dat deck, etc to tape their fall tour shows. Anyone who is
willing to tape a show and send me a copy on dat or cd will be put on the
guest list for that show. I can only put one taper per show on the guest
list. There is no limit on the number of tapers at any of our shows. We
encourage as many people as possible to tape. However, this deal is good for
only one taper per show. I put them on the guest list, they tape the show,
and send me a copy for the archives. Just about every fall show is available
except for the Philly and NYC dates at the end of Sept. Please contact me at
taperted@yahoo.com or taperted@deepbananablackout.com if interested.

Nothing in the BTAT list or archives that I can find. Is Lucy
taper-friendly at all? Worth asking for a board patch? The venue is a
church so I suspect they'll be willing to do whatever she's willing to
permit.

If anyone plans to attend/tape the NY Salsa Festival
Saturday, please let me know. If you are in NYC --
check it out, it should be awesome if you can stand
still enough to run.
Also interested in trades for other salsa -- Any of
the Fania Artists, plus Celia Cruz, Ray Barretto, esp
Issac Delgado. Any Rumberos. Quite interested in various
Brazilian artists -- ones that have recently played
somewhere in the US are Gal Costa (headed to West Coast),
Ivete Sangalo, Caetano Veloso, Djvan, and Marisa Monte.
Someone recently mentioned Joao Gilberto at Montreal.
Also if others are interested in these and other latin
sounds (Buena Vista...), drop me a note and I will consider
setting up a latin email list. Or even a world music list.
