Subject: trackmark transfer from CDRW33 to PCMR500?
Date: Fri, 28 Sep 2001 01:32:08 EDT
Hey everyone
I am trying to transfer some CDRs of gigs I have to DAT, using my
professional CDRW33 coaxial cabled to my PCMR500 (both Sony machines), and
sometimes the trackmarks from the CDR transfer, othertimes they do not. I
thought trackmarks instantly transferred during an optical/coaxial cloning
process. So I am really confused over this. It's frustrating because this
means I have to manually insert trackmarks which can take a lot of time.
Any information/etc is appreciated, thanks.

I put up a roll of 1000 "No Time to Hate" stickers
in the Ebay Auction for America to donate to the
September 11th fund. Here's a link to the item:

Randy and I donated to the Red Cross earlier and
we are giving blood, but it seems that no matter
what I do, I feel like I am not doing enough.
I guess it is all part of a long healing process.

For personal reasons, I'm finding myself having to sell my current digital recording setup of two Tascam DA-20MKII decks, and a Tascam CD-RW700 CD burner.
Two Tascam DA-20mkII DAT machines are under two years old and have been maintained with regular dry cleanings. The Tascam CD-RW700 standalone CDR burner was purchased 6 Months ago.
I also have an Uncle John's woodshop 288 DAT tape Rack, and would be willing to offer up the DATs as well, at: http://home.netcarrier.com/~tfoster/tapelisttf.html
The whole set is for around $1300, but I would parcel it out if need be. Say $500 per DAT deck, $400 for the burner, $50 for the rack.
Thank you,
Tom Foster

Hey Ya'll,
I have a problem and am looking for some help with my DigiCard. I
have a SEk'd Prodif 32 that I have been using for about 4 months, without
any problems. 3 Weeks ago I installed a network card onto my
computer...and now every time I try to transfer DAT to PC, as soon as I hit
record on any of my recording programs...my computer freezes. It seems
that when I installed the Network card, it rearranged my IRQ settings and
put my DigiCard on the same IRQ as my Video Card. Could there be some kind
of conflict? Probably! I've tried to get the Digi Card off of that IRQ to
no avail. Any advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated...I'm
almost 100% this is the problem. Thanks in advance.

I've seen all the posts and have done the research, and it still seems like
more that I want to tackle...Therefore I'm looking for someone to bake two
tapes for me. They total about 150 min worth of music. These were recorded
in 1975 and are both Ampex tapes. Please contact me if this is something
that you can help me with. Will gladly pay for your time and services
and/or work out some other arrangement. I am only looking for a transfer
from reel to dat or cdr. I will gladly take care of all the post transfer
work.
Please email me at this addy or Otten@optonline.net
Thanks!

I know this issue has been beat to a pulp... but I was wondering if anyone
has any sound card suggestions or recomendations for DAT > CDR transfers (PC
based). I have a Zoltrix which ceased to work as of last week and I figured
I'd look for another viable solution. Any info would be appreciated. BWT to
be paid once I can get something on CDR.

Hey all,
I am looking for any Indecision shows taped from 1989 to 1993. If you have
some old DAT or analog masters that you wouldn't mind letting go for trade
or b&p, I'd be happy to spruce them up and make the DAT>shn transfers.
Please let me know. Thanks.

Hello all, took more than I wanted for the Dead 2/24/74...but the music
should be spread :)
anyway, i've been trying to keep my CDR archiving info "clean" by requesting
what i've been calling conversion lineage (ie. how the music on the dat got
to the CDR (including machines and software)). However, most people I've
traded with did not know such information or seem to care when I gave it to
them. My question is, does anyone else keep this info and is it at all
important? (I tend to say yes but apparently a lot say no)
any advice on this would be helpful.
thanks
