Hey datheads,
if anybody has any recordings, audio, video, dat, md, microcassette (i dont
care!) by Neutral Milk Hotel from Athens, GA i would love to get my hands on
them.
this includes upgrades over my current collection as well.
so if you have any stuff by them please feel free to contact me for trade.
I have about 35-40 shows by that band, almost every radiohead show from this
year, a near complete collection of every surfaced nirvana show on audio and
video, as well as lots of cool indie-rock and punk CDRs, vidoes, and
masters.
my list: http://freeweb.pdq.net/amonis/
thanks!

What I'm wondering though is whether recording from within soundforge will
capture the actual bitstream of digi-data or whether it has traveled through
some d>a(>d) by then...
The question better put then is not can I capture it from within soundforge,
but whether what I capture from within soundforge is the best possible
sound.

Subject: M1>A3>OKMII/R+SBM1 recording problem what went wrong?
Date: Mon, 1 Oct 2001 00:50:55 -0700 (PDT)
Hello
Just returning from Fish concert
and find out that my taping sucks!
:-( what went wrong?
A friend of mine lent me his SBM1, I have never
recorded with it, he didnt told me how to set it.
Ok, this was my set up:
M1>A3>OKMII/R>SBM1
M1:
44.1, recording level manual, Line in
A3: (roll off swith) both on the left side 0-20 on 0
and the bass rool off - (flat)
SBM1:
I made a quick test with LINE IN but the rec levels of
the M1 simply didnt worked so, I switched to MIC, OK
there were te usual levels, the MIC ATT was set to 0Db
The result is kind of a mega distorted recording, the
only parts that sound OK is where Fish chats with the
audience, also, this part sounds like "metalized" then
when the the music begins, bass, drums it sounds
distored almost like white noise, and this noise rises
the levels when "crack, clik crshhhh" annoying, you
can hear far very far part of the recording but
unlistenable.
:-(
The hole concert my levels were OK
Where did I screwed up?
just a simple answer, is appreciated

I would like to ask anyone who is going to the first Tool concert at
Madison Square Garden to please pay attention to the level of security
at the show and get back to me. I am going to the tuesday show and since
I will be taking public transit I really need to know if I will be able
to get my gear in. If I get caught, I won't have a car to stash it in.
So, what's the deal? Metal detectors? Could someone please email me
about it? Also, if you get to tape it, I'd love to trade for it. Thanks.

fair to say that even if that is true KODAK is reputable enough company that
would likely make good on any problems resulting? hopefully that's one

~*~ In-store at Virgin on Oct 2 NOT Tower ~*~
The in-store is at the Virgin Mega Store on Michigan Ave. The itin is as
follows:
5:50 PM - WXRT interview from stage
6 PM - 2 songs, apparently Androgyny and Cherry Lips
6:15 to 8ish Signing
There's still a chance that you can get passes to the in-store, b/c
contrary to popular belief, the Virgin store on Michigan Ave can hold more
than 8 people. If you buy a copy of beautifulgarbage on Oct 2 from said
Virgin store (I'd get there early), you'll prob have a pretty good shot of
getting a pass of your own.

What I've been reading is that one ought to use an external A/D just
to get it away from the noisy environment inside the computer. Never
mind the quality of the op-amps.
Does anybody know what the schedule for the AudioSport Duo is? I've
been looking at the web page now and then, but it just keeps saying
"... soon ...". This thing looks like it could be just the ticket for
analog input. Now if they'd just put S/PDIF inputs on it, you
wouldn't need a sound card at all. Well, not for input at any rate.
