Just to avoid confusion, obviously the date of the Erie, PA Blue Floyd show
was 10/7/01.

I'm looking for a good sounding recording of Linkin Park, especially from
their recent european tour.
As I don't have any live show of this band, I'd even take any other good
sounding show from other tours.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

[FINALLY GOT AROUND TO TRANSFERRING/MASTERING]
Ozzfest 2001 - Disturbed, Slipknot, Marilyn Manson,
Black Sabbath
Devore, CA
June 30, 2001
Taped these four bands acts DFC - 2nd row loge.
Sony TCD-D100 DAT & Sound Professional slimline
cardiods (AT853s)
DAT >> 7-pin digital out thingy >> Delta DiO 2496 >>
Sound Forge >> CDWav >> Nero
Sound is pretty good, but the crowd is loud & nuts at
times. I only got about 2/3 of the Disturbed set.
Thankfully I got the best sound is during Black
Sabbath. Each band is on it's own disc, 4cd total.
Contact me with your trade lists/website/info if
you're interested in trading for these. I will B&P
and vine this show as well once initial trades are
completed. Send your requests.

My single, simple request is that you do NOT sell
this. Spread the music - make mp3s, play and copy
this for your friends, trade, (and buy the studio
albums!). DO NOT sell this, it is not yours - the
music belongs to the musicians. Seriously - don't be
a shmuck.

hiya,
SSIA. As usual, I'm interested in getting some low gen>dat
of Pink Floyd 70-94, David Gilmour '84, and Roger Waters 84-87.
Any DAUDs of the '94 shows would be greatly appreciated. If anybody
DAT taped the Gilmour Gig at RFH last June, please do get in touch.
DG is playing RFH again in June and this time I will be there
to attend.
As far as Radiohead goes, I taped this years Boston and the 1st night
of Liberty State Park with solid results (csb>bass rolloff>D8),
and I'd be happy to get some more (namely the Montreal and 2nd LSP show).
I have a somewhat edited Floyd list here:
http://members.bellatlantic.net/~vze28qbj/pinkfloyd.html
lots of goodies and low-gens - I bust my rear tracking down the lowest
gens possible. I also taped Waters 9 times over the last couple of years,
and those aren't on that page yet.
Thanks for reading,
Anthony

I bought a UA-30 2 months ago, and did testing to compare two
wav files recorded from the same tape. After trying different tapes,
different decks, and different recording programs (and even 2 different
USB cables, in case one was marginal) I found that there is NO WAY to
get bit-for-bit accurate transfers. I would get continual, tho normally
inaudible, dropouts of 1920 bytes. There would be a dropout nearly every
second. Asking Roland tech support about this - I was rather pissed off
and said I'd be informing anyone who listened about this flaw if in fact
it isn't just my circumstances somehow, I got the following answer:
> Jesse,

Now his answer (USB can't cut it) is simply bullshit; the bandwidth of USB
is nearly 1Mbyte/sec, which far exceeds the 150Kbytes/sec needed for stereo
16bit/44.1Khz. Even if (due to poor engineering on their behalf) all audio
transfers had to be 48Khz, 24-bit, full-duplex, stereo, it would be 188*4=
750Kbytes/sec.
Basically, it comes down to this: Roland engineered something with
significant flaws, that reviewers didn't pick up on b/c most reviewers are
more the musician type than engineer types, and lazy besides (IMHO). Roland
chose to market this as a professional-grade, $200 sound-"card" with digial
i/o that IS NOT LOSSLESS, and they don't state this anywhere. I have to
admit it sounds fine - much better than my laptop's built-in audio (which
is terrible). But professional it ain't. And now I'm out the money.
Anybody know of a Win2K-compatible USB digital i/o soundcard that's been
properly and provably engineered correctly?

Does there exist an online registry for tapers? If so where can I find it?
It seems useful to be able to contact someone in an area where I'd like to
get a show taped... This seems too obvious, it must be available somewhere!
Any info would be appreciated and welcomed

For sale: Apogee AD500e
Serial number: 7333 Revision C8
I sent the unit to the Apogee factory (California) in March 2001 in order to
have the word clock replaced. After having this work performed on the unit,
it has proven to be 100% reliable @ every show that I have taped. I am
selling it simply because I am doing less taping these days.
Along with the AD500e, I will include the following items:
AD500/AD 500e Apogee manual
15 pin > coax cable (provides digi feed from AD500e)
shipping carton
receipt from Apogee (for March 2001 service)
I would like $725 for the Apogee. Buyer to pay shipping charges & I'll pick
up the shipping insurance.
If interested, please respond to:
pdelima@dreamscape.com
thanks,
Paul

This show was also recorded DPA4061>D100. I will be receiving a copy of
this. This show as well as the rest of the shows from the current tour will
be archived on the T.O.M.B. for download as SHN files. Check it out at:
