I have 100 each (90) and (120) Apogee Pro DAT tapes sealed in factory
packaging. I no longer have any DAT decks. Would like to work out a trade
for SHNs on CD or sell them. I'm interested primarily in Grateful Dead
shows. Make me an offer: synergy1999@hotmail.com.
Thanks,

I just purchased a matched set of Oktava MC012(card), and a Denecke PS2 to
power them. I also need(want) an external A/D since I'll be using a D8, and
I want to avoid using the analog inputs. Would the Denecke AD-20, or the SBM1
be a better choice for me?
I believe the PS2 has balanced outputs, and the AD-20 has balanced inputs, so
those 2 would make a nice pair. The SBM1 has unbalanced inputs OTH, so I'd
probably have to put a transformer(is that the right term) between the PS2
and SBM1. I'd like to keep my rig as compact as possible, so the AD-20
possibly has the advantage there. What I don't know is how the quality of
the AD-20 compares with the SBM1.
Also, I am considering wiring my own mic cables with bulk wire and gold
contact Neutrik connectors. The way I see it, my $200 mics won't benefit
noticably from hundred dollar mic cables. My question is this, what is a
good type of bulk wire? I've seen Mogami mentioned a lot, and the Neglex
AWG#22 sells for $0.68/foot. Is this good cable for my needs?
One last question...
Can anyone give me any advice on connecting a D8 to an SV3900? I checked the
digital/analog button, and the dip switches(on the back panel) of on the
SV3900, but my D8 doesn't get a signal from the SV3900 SPDIF output.
Thanks,
Eric

They were using walk-through metal detectors at Saturday's BB King Blues
Festival and they looked semi-permanent, so you'll have to be a little
more creative than before. Allow an extra 20 min or so to get through
security (long lines), maybe a bit more for a rowdier crowd.

i need to part w/ these tickets since i cant make it to the show. they are
NOT taper tickets. i did pick up the pair at the Hill Auditorium box office
and thus avoided any BS ticket charges, but the single was from the lottery.
the info is below.
1 Pair:

Hill Auditorium: Ann Arbor, MI
Section 5, Row J, Seats 9+11
$59.50 for the pair + shipping
1 Single:
Nov 4, 2001 7:30 pm
Hill Auditorium: Ann Arbor, MI
Section 10, Row N, Seat 13
$41.75 for the single + shipping
please contact me if you are interested. obviously these don't need to go

I am looking for a Southern California based DAT-head who would be willing
to be interviewed about concert recording, your enjoyment of live music, and
any pressures you might feel either from venue security or (in some cases)
the band.
I am a graduate journalism student producing a segment for USC Television on
concert recording, and would like to sit down with someone for an hour or so
to tape an interview for Impact, the campus newsmagazine.
If anyone in the Southern California area would be interested in helping me
out, or would simply like more information, feel free to contact me at

I've just dumped a bunch of vinyl to wav and want to immortalize it to CDR,

I mean that in a very nice way) have any relatively incomplex solutions for

the NR features of it can be used to effectively de-pop, or something like
that. Anyone?

Firstly I'd like to know from anyone if they have been taping Ani DiFranco
shows this year. I know from years past that she used to support taping,
however in the last couple of years I haven't seen much trading of new
material . She recently played here in Houston and I didn't get a chance to
attend. I'll check the BTAT list to see what it says but its a little out
of date so I though that I'd ask to get the info from the horses mouth.
Secondly I'm looking for any 2001 Ani DiFranco shows. I have about 8 show
on CDR from 96 thru 99 but nothing recent. If you have any 2001 shows on
DAT or CDR please contact me I'd like to work on a trade. You can view my
list at the URL below.

Over the Rhine is opening up for them, and they are well worth taping.
Quite similar to the C.J. they feature melodic textures and the unique

and can be taken on many levels. Additionally, I'm jealous that both
Karin and Margo will be on the same stage on the same night ... just too
much beauty! Anyways, I have a couple OTR shows for trade, and a CJ

Will accept BWT offers to anyone who has read this post this far...

hi, i've got a couple of batches of extra CDrs sitting around that I'd
like
to find good homes for, b&p only -- preferably to trading newbies.
They're a mixed bag of Imation, Memorex, TDK, and unbranded silver/blue
disks. These were all either burned for trades that didn't go down,
burned by friends for me but I already had the show, etc. There's
nothing 'wrong' with them. :-)
The disks are sort of arranged by 'flavor' so hopefully if you like
something in one group, the rest of them will hopefully be to your
liking as well. I'm not going to break up batches -- if you want one,
you get the whole batch.
The only catch is you have to send blanks out to me ASAFP -- today, or
tomorrow, Priority Mail to me. (I'm moving Real Soon Now...) Please
contact me if you're interested in either batch of CDs -- or, if you'd
like both, that's fine too -- and will be able to send out blank 16x 80
minute certified branded (Maxell, TDK, Mitsui, etc) CDrs to me *REAL
FAST*! Each batch will go to whoever lays claim to them first. Ready,
Set, Go!
Do not email me if you doubt your ability to finish your half of this
deal very quickly!!! If I don't get back to you, sorry, they're already
claimed.

Lord, I pure-D _hate_ TicketBastard!!! A pox upon their house and all in
it!
After discovering on-line that they were gonna' charge me $65 for a $35
ticket I
went to buy one at the local outlet on the onsale date (Sun the 14th), and
was told that they
shut off the out-of-state sales several months ago... Can you say
'monopoly'? Grrrr...
In contrast, the 3 minutes to get through the SCI ticketing process was a
joy... and only a $20
charge for shipping and service on a $120 total... reasonable, in
comparison.
I'll be happy to cover face cost & postage on the ticket, just to spite the
robber barons.
