if you are handy with a soldering iron, you can build
your own excellent mics for 30 or 40 dollars. Buy
quality parts and they will sound superb and be very
durable.

Hey,
I will hopefully be taping the Dylan show at the United Center. This will be
my first stealth show and I was hoping some of you could offer some helpful
hints as to how to get the gear in. I use a sony pcm-m1 with coresound
cardoids and and battery box. I am more worried about the dat than the
little stuff. I have discreetly contacted the venue and it sounds like the
security is high(looks like no mountainsmith pack this time). So if anyone
has any thoughts as to how to make the deck at one with my loins so to speak
I would appreciate it. I am assuming there will be pat downs but no metal
detectors. At worst I will just take the gear back to the car but I would
really like to avoid being thrown against a wall with an m-16 to my head and
being questioned for hours when I really just want to enjoy the show. Due to
the nature of this question feel free to contact me off list at
respect423@home.com . Thank you for your input and the Space. jp

OK I know the only dumb question is the one that dosen't get asked so here
goes.
Could there not be a set-up designed that would allow a sony 7 pin to usb
connection with software to facilitate the info transfer to the hard drive.
I'm asking because I have been reading alot of post's about digi in sound
cards and considering buying one. With my limited knowledge of the
possibility's I am wondering if there might not be an easier way to
accomplish the task of transfering to the computer.
Clue me in.
Jason Franklin

hi,
i saw and taped katryna and nerrissa nields at the fez in NYC last nite.
i only have the first 45 minutes of the show. to be brutally honest, i
thought it was one of the worst shows i ever saw and left early. anyway, to
each his own. the tape came out great, and i figured someone might like to
hear it. the sound came out mint.
take a look at my music trading list

Subject: Mounting mics in Hat?
Date: Sat, 20 Oct 2001 21:25:48 EDT
Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for mounting mics in a baseball
cap.
I would like the mics to be removable since most venues here are pretty
strict with searches.
or
Would I be better off mounting the mics to my shirt? I figured the hat would
be better since I am not very tall.
I have a stealth show coming up and I need some tips. I will be using csc's
with removable clips
Please email me
thanks in advance
