Keep your lists in a database like Access, Filemaker or a spreadsheet = like Excel. 2. Usually you can save directly to an HTML file for posting on a web = site. 3. Do a Save As to a .csv file format (comma separated) 4. Web design programs often can read these files and create HTML from = them (an alternative way to get your lists on the web) 5. Download the free MobileDBlite from: www.mobilegeneration.com=20 6. This program will read in the same .csv file and set it up to load = into your Palm at the next Hot Sync operation. Real easy. I keep lots of database tables for work in my Palm using Mobiledblite. = There are other products that will do the same thing. And, of course, once in your Palm, you can "beam" your list to other Palm = people very simply. Palms are so cool it's rediculous.... ------------------------------ From: "Eduardo Malvido" Subject: OMK II R A3 simple question need help Date: Tue, 30 Oct 2001 00:10:14 -0600 Hello friends I need this small dilema to be cleared I record witha PCM-M1 and a OKM IIR My settings in the A3 module are: No bass roll off because Im in LINE instead of MIC The 20 db its also off but doesnt affect since Im on LINE Both swithes are on the left position Question: Since Im not using both switches=20 Is the same if I record without it? Unfortunately, the taper I spoke with after the show who offered me a DAT B&P of this show isn't answering follow-up e-mails, so I'm forced to grovel to the usual lists here to see whether anyone else who taped this excellent show with Col. Bruce and the Code Talkers, Merle Saunders and the inspired drumming and heartfelt appreciation of his mom by "Barry Bonds" can help. Can any kind soul hook me up with a DAT (preferred) B&P of this show? Kat (sig. other) and I would be very grateful. Thanks, J ------------------------------ From: "Steven Popkin" Subject: Any Hammond B3 Traders out there? ISO Reuban Wilson last week Date: Mon, 29 Oct 2001 14:40:02 -0500 Any Hammond B3 Traders out there? Anyone tape Reuban Wilson with Mark Ribot and Joey Baron last week (especially Saturday night , 3 sets) Email me, DJ Steve ------------------------------ From: randy@monkeybiz.Stanford.EDU Subject: list software for palm Date: Mon, 29 Oct 2001 11:50:37 -0800 (PST) maybe not quite what you wanted to know but.... (1) documents to go from dataviz (www.dataviz.com) will allow you to port a word or excel-based file (ie, a tapelist...) to your palm. (2) there are several palm spreadsheets that interface with excel allowing the same capability to some degree of compatibility (I use Quicksheet from Cutting Edge Software (www.cesinc.com) (3) when used with the right cd player application, CD List by PiPrograms (http//piprograms.com) will automatically build a database of your cds and place it on your pilot. ------------------------------ From: "Gary Johnson" Subject: Drop outs Date: Mon, 29 Oct 2001 12:05:13 -0800 I'm having a problem and was looking for some help. I have finally scraped the bottom of the proverbial barrel and am able to convert DAT>CD on my computer. Here is how: Sony D-7> Passive oade 7 pin > Hosa digi cable > Midiman Co2 Optical/Digital converter > Radio shack Fiber optic cable > Zoltrix Nightingale sound card(Optical in)> Samplitude Studio V6.0 > CDWAV > CD-R HERE IS THE PROBLEM- I am experiencing some drop outs in some dats. When I am sending the signal through my computer I can hear and see drops(as displayed on the D-7). I can rewind the dat, listen again and not hear or see the drop in, on or around the area where I heard it before. Am I experiencing interference from my computer, monitor or other appliances? The way my computer is set up, I plug my dat into an outlet in the kitchen and don't use any other appliance in that outlet while my dat is running. My Midiman is plugged into my surge protector with the rest of my computer . Should I buy a new surge protector? Am I getting interference from the monitor, speakers, ect...? Any help would be appreciated. -Gary _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ From: "Slipkid" Subject: always late Reply-To: "Slipkid" Date: Mon, 29 Oct 2001 15:31:08 -0500 well, i was late for another ian hunter gig (last night at the TLA in philly)...oops this time i only missed the 1st two songs instead of the first 4-5 at allentown on tuesday anyway, if anybody out there taped the TLA gig, i would be most grateful to get the start of the show to complete my tape! thanks, - jon - slipkid@voicenet.com surf me at: http://www.voicenet.com/~slipkid (please read my guideline page before agreeing to trade with me) ------------------------------ From: "Bigham, Michelle" Subject: Magnolia Fest trade? Date: Mon, 29 Oct 2001 15:56:49 -0500 Hey now, I'm wondering if anyone taped the Sam Bush Band from Magnolia Fest that would like to trade or B&P. I taped The Recipe, Ancient Harmony, Col. Bruce Hampton & The Code Talkers with Vassar Clements, Derek Trucks, Yonder Mountain String Band, Larry Keel Experience, Acoustic Syndicate, and Blueground Undergrass from MagFest and would be happy to trade. I have also taped the last few years of MagFest if you missed one. Plenty of stuff on my list as well. Thanks, hope everyone had a great weekend. Michelle ------------------------------ From: JBrink7402@aol.com Subject: Dallas Volunteers For America 10/21/01 Date: Mon, 29 Oct 2001 16:34:39 EST I made the trip north and taped most of the bands that performed at the benefit last Sunday. I have everything transferred over to cdr from DAT and can offer the following for trade: Tommy Shaw/Jack Blades- Edgar Winter- JohnWaite- Mark Farner- Survivor- Eddie Money- Kansas- These were all very short sets with each playing two or three songs each. The Styz and Journey sets were about an hour each and both also played some killer acoustic stuff at other time periods that I also was able to tape. These were all taped FOB/sound pro. binaurals>D100(Oade)and turned out quite nice IMO. I also have some nice August/Sept. Aerosmith JPP shows from DAT sources in recently, if interested. Date: Mon, 29 Oct 2001 15:06:13 -0800 I have 2 tickets for Tool at Shorline in Mt View CA this Saturday, Nov 3rd. The tickets are in section 202, which is the center section, in row G. Row G is directly behind the soundboard (and slightly higher, so no blocked views), so the sound from these seats is just about the best in the venue. Maybe a little better in the 100's, but if yer not in the 100's, 202 is where it's at. OK anyway I paid $100 for the pair, I'm willing to take $80 for the pair, and if you tape, I wouldn't mind a copy.. ;-) I can take Paypal or we can meet in person if you are in the San Jose or Santa Cruz areas.... thanks... bill.shaw@hds.com Bill ------------------------------ From: "Jason Kreuter" Subject: Trade Date: Mon, 29 Oct 2001 21:37:00 -0500 Anyone happen to tape U2 at madison square garden on 10/27? These drives have about 40-50 hours on them since they were last serviced a year ago by Yamaha. I have a pair of older SCSI cards with a pair of cables for them as well. I have manuals for the drives and cards. If anyone is using a mastering software that allows multiple drives to be addressed and written to at the same time these drives are perfect for that. (I think Nero allows this feature and I'm sure Discjuggler does). Since I no longer need these drives I figured I would offer the good folks her a chance at them before consigning them to Ebay.
