I've got a pair of Shure SM84A mics and their Shure amplifier boxes I'd like to find a home for. These are miniature hypercardioid mics, about an inch by about one-third inch. They can be phantom powered at 48V or run with a 9V battery in each of the amplifier boxes. I think their response is 50-20k with a presence rise in the upper frequencies, flat bass when run on phantom and a 6db rolloff below 100hz when run through the amplifier boxes. These are virtually brand new, I only used them in the house to check that they worked fine. I got them for stealthing and before I got a chance to use them, I found a wicker kangol-type hat that perfectly fit my km184s. With the hat to use my neumanns for stealthing, I never found an opportunity to use the Shures. Looking for $100 for the pair of mics and the amplifiers, plus shipping. Drop me a line if interested, Todd ------------------------------ From: Lesh1121@aol.com Subject: ISO: Phish 11-8-96 Date: Fri, 09 Nov 2001 00:47:18 EST This was my first show and I still can't find it after 5 years. Can someone help me out? Thanks. --Scott ------------------------------ From: "Paul" Subject: Ethics Question (trading ratio 60s for 90s) Date: Thu, 8 Nov 2001 22:48:07 -0700 Hi folks, Survey results are in on the "ethics question" I posed a couple days back about it being ok or not to ask for 3 60 meter tapes in return for 2 90 meter tapes. For the most part folks seem to think a 1:1 trade is the way to go regardless of the tape length, or an even dollar for dollar trade. There were a couple exceptions. I thought the best way to show the results without filling up the digest was to throw it on a web page so you can see what folks wrote for themselves. if you want to check it out, go here: http://holly.colostate.edu/~prennix/survey6090.html Take Care, Colorado Paul ------------------------------ From: Seth Breidbart Subject: Re: Peak level meters on M1 Date: Fri, 9 Nov 2001 01:05:33 -0500 (EST) > I've noticed this before, but didn't think much of it until now, > but how can a digital feed give an "OVER" unless the M1 is being > conservative on reporting levels? OVER can be defined several ways. Some decks define it as "3 consecutive maximum digital values", in which case a digital signal can easily cause it. I know there are calibrations to be done for recording (azimuth etc) but is there anything I need to calibrate or adjust for playback, aside from tape type? I don't have a manual, obviously. -- Mark Mayhle mark@mayhle.com ------------------------------ From: Erich S Subject: Tortoise in Japan Date: Fri, 9 Nov 2001 11:04:54 -0800 (PST) Is anyone going to be taping Tortoise in Japan this week or next?
