Once converted to WAV, = check the sample rate and convert it to 44.1kHz if neccesary (using your favourite sound = editor). Then it should be no problem to burn them to audio cd. I have no clue about RealVideo to DVD conversion, but I suppose it should = be possible... Here's a link to ra2wav:=20 http://www.downloadsafari.com/thereviews/Ra2Wav-646.html Take care, JeroenZ ------------------------------ From: "mark t weygandt" Subject: DAT>PC Date: Tue, 11 Dec 2001 11:49:20 -0500 I wanted to tap the collective knowledge of the list and ask the following questions: 1. Are there any devices for the PC that have been confirmed to provide bit-for-bit DAT>PC transfers? From what I've read lately I strongly suspect my Opcode Sonicport USB device doesn't. 2. Does a program exist that can scan the resulting wav file for diginoise? I am looking into archiving my DATs to DVD-R and may not have the time to listen to each show all the way through before burning it. mark mtwnet@hotmail.com _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp ------------------------------ From: Jer Subject: repair question Date: Tue, 11 Dec 2001 08:51:51 -0800 (PST) i have a denon dtr-80p and the lcd display is faded across the bottom. the levels read fine but the text is split in 1/2 along the bottom. i was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how this might be repaired, if i could do it myself, how much it might cost, where to take it or send it, etc... thanks! jer __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Any advice? Did a search on the archives, was overwhelmed by the 653 messages (search base = d7 01 error code transport) and didn't find anything. I'd like to get this working, and would prefer not to have to send it off to Sony - probably cost more than it's worth to replace the beast... thanks! waldemar kowalski ------------------------------ From: "Aaron Miller" Subject: Closed Headphones Date: Tue, 11 Dec 2001 13:55:34 -0500 Hello All - Sennheiser unveiled their new HD 280 PRO headphones at the recent AES show. If you shop carefully you can get any of their internal models below your price range. The 12X, 16X, and 24X models (ONLY the retail box versions) all have $30 rebates now through the end of the year. I just recently picked up a 12X for $70 after rebate (from Dell) and a 24X for $118 after rebate (from Buy.com). Those particular deals are no longer available but similar ones can be found. -- Mark Mayhle mark@mayhle.com ------------------------------ From: "Dave Stephens" Subject: ISO A few dead shows Date: Tue, 11 Dec 2001 20:32:17 -0500 hey all, im looking to get rid of the crappy mp3 sourced dead shows ive got from awhile back. just wondering if anyone can help out with non mp3 sourced shows. the shows are: 11/3/65 3/25/66 7/31/74 12/27/77 10/20/78 4/26/83 10/14/83 7/16/90 8/1/94 6/25/95 i have got quite a list to offer back with much recent material as well. any help at all will be greatly appreciated. i will do b and p or trades or generally whatever it takes to clean the mp3's out of my collection. thanx ds bwt: 2 for panic 11-4-01 km 184> dmic 20> d8 3d columbus oh. ------------------------------ From: Graham Munda Subject: fs: DA-P1 w/eco-charge & portabrace Date: Tue, 11 Dec 2001 21:07:16 -0500 For Sale as a package only: Tascam DA-P1 Purchased new from Sonic Sense for $1,325 on 11/3/98 (Has been used mostly as a playback deck for cloning and to master about 30 or so shows.
