Hi everyone,
I am trying to find out if anybody on this list is going to tape (or will
tape) some upcoming shows by THE STROKES.
Here are the american shows from this tour:
01/21/02 Orlando, FL, USA House Of Blues
01/22/02 Miami, FL, USA Billboard Live
01/23/02 Jackson, MS, USA Hal and Mal's
01/24/02 Houston, TX, USA The Ariel Theatre
01/26/02 Mexico City, Mexico Salon 21
01/28/02 Phoenix, AZ, USA Webb Theatre
01/29/02 Albuquerque, NM, USA Sunshine Theatre
01/31/02 Las Vegas, NV, USA House Of Blues
02/03/02 San Diego, CA, USA Fourth & B
If it is a show that I do not already have somebody set to record i may be
able to pay for your ticket and blank media.
I have about 30 strokes shows up for trade, and would be interested in
getting my hands on any i do not have. I also have thousands of shows to
trade by many many bands (many of those are masters). Mostly rock / indie
rock stuff:

Just got a Jeff Beck/Jan Hammer show Feb.,1977 Sydney, Aust. from Dave in
Australia...Master Cassette to CD. There's some hiss but sounds real good
for what it is.
Anyone up for a quick trade or two? CD's only. They're so easy to clone.
Peace,
Jim Ratner

Hey all,
I have an M1 for sale as I'm converting my DAT's to disc and only need one
deck. I bought it new form Masterpiece in late 2000 (I'm still looking for
the receipt, but I do have the original box). I only used the deck for
playback as I recorded using my DA20 MKII....I also have the soon to hard to
find Oade 7 pin i/o cable as well. New, the M1 was 685 and the cable 150.
I'm looking to get 650 for the cable and deck, but make me an offer
regardless.
Check the cable out here: http://www.oade.com/dat/audiocenter/oadecable.html
Thanks,
Matt

Well, I asked and someone answered me.
Sound On Sound Magazine
http://www.sound-on-sound.com/uk
The recording magazine from "across the pond" from
here in NYC has a review in it's November 2001 issue.
It is non-technical, in that there are no test
measurements, however it give much more insight than
the blurbs from Creative Labs.
1)It only records ASIO at 48KHz, so it does resample
anything else and isn't guaranteed to be bit-perfect.
2) It comes with alot of software in the Platinumex
version. This includes eMagic's software that allows
MME 2 track recording of different sample rates, but
it is not native to the card.
3) Overall the reviewer felt that the card was not too
shabby, but for $200-$250 the M-Audio Audiophile2496 ,
Terratec EW 2496, or Echo MIA were better choices,
with the reviewer being partial to the Echo.
Sorry for the wordy synopsis, but I couldn't link to
the page for non-subscribers, as most of us are.
Cheers,
Bob

I have one extra MMW 6/16/98 Petaluma, CA for trade on
one 60m Sony. Source is Sony ECM959 on-stage and the
quality is excellent. Marc Ribot sits in for the last
half of the show and it's a killer set.
Looking for any other on-stage MMW or good
jazz-related stuff.
peace in '02,
Donald

$60.00?
ttfn and healthy new year!
