I had my mail program set to HTML for some odd reason... Anyway, I'm spending the day cleaning my desk and came across a pile of DATs I no longer need, so I thought I'd offer them up here for b&p. All are on Sony, Maxell or Panasonic media. Most are on Sony DG's. I'll take 10 sealed Sony DG 60m or 90m (prefer 5 of each or so, but am open to various combinations) in return. There are 11 tapes total, and I'd prefer not to split them up at this time. So for one person, 10 blanks and return postage gets you the 11 DATs below. Thanks! Dirk ------------------------------ From: "Marc Macauley" Subject: Battery-powered phantom-power boxes? Date: Sun, 6 Jan 2002 12:31:11 -0800 A few weeks ago, I posted a question similar to this, and received a number of helpful responses. I've narrowed down my search by now, so I have a rather direct question this time that perhaps would be easier to answer. What I'm looking for is this: a phantom power box that provides 48V of phantom power and runs on batteries. I don't need any special features - not more than 2 inputs, 1 would probably be enough (I only have 1 mic right now), and I don't need EQ or panning or any other features - just something simple that I could plug my microphone (Neumann TLM 103) into, and output to my Sony PCM-M1 portable DAT recorder. I have XLR cables and an XLR-to-3.5mm cable (which could go from the phantom power to my DAT). If I would need to get any extra cables to work with a phantom power box, that would be okay, as long as they don't cost too much. My main concern here is price. The cheapest thing I have found is the Samson Mixpad 4, which costs about $180. This has more features than I need - 4 inputs & outputs, EQ, panning etc. - and I am hoping there is something cheaper available that provides 48V of phantom power to 1 or 2 mics, and runs on batteries. I currently own a Peavey PS-2C, but this only provides 9V of phantom power, which apparently is not enough for my microphone. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Marc Macauley ------------------------------ From: "Stephen Pzynski" Subject: Sony D10Pro Date: Sun, 06 Jan 2002 14:51:13 -0600 Hey all... Anyone know where I can find parts for a Sony D10Pro? I'm looking for battery, charger, instructions and anything else that would've normally come with the deck. I bought it used in great shape, but it has nothing with it. Also, any recommendations for servicing? Thanks... I don't need any special features - not Several to choose from, such as the Denecke PS2 (2 channels, single 9V battery) and Rolls PB224 (2 channels, 2 9V batteries) and some single channel ones as well. The Rolls seems like a good choice for you at $79 from Sound Professionals, perhaps less elsewhere. > My main concern here is price. Well sure, it's a full mixer, not just phantom power. BTW, it only provides 18V phantom. -- Mark Mayhle mark@mayhle.com ------------------------------ From: "Thomas Avallone" Subject: BOC shows Date: Sun, 06 Jan 2002 22:15:58 +0000 I'm looking to add to my Blue Oyster Cult recordings....I'm especially looking for the September 1981 (maybe 1982) New Haven, CT show. There is an FM broadcast in circulation, and I only have the AM broadcast. I'm open to ANY BOC shows I don't have already. I can only trade on CDR, but I can accept DATs with no problems. EW SR77's Tapes Date: Mon, 7 Jan 2002 02:38:07 EST Hey guys- I posted a while ago about these two sets of mics. The response has been great. Thank you all for the kind advice. I'm now looking for some comparison tapes for these two sets of mics. I'm looking for both acoustic and band shows. If anyone can help, please respond off the list. I have already clogged up the list enough with this question. For those of you who didn't catch my last post about these two, I've got it narrowed down to these two mics, but if anyone else has any other good suggestions for other mics (around the $1000 rage), i'm always open to new ideas. I just purchased the mp2 and run into a d8. I tape mainly acoustic shows, but i'd like to be able to tape full band shows.
