Just a heads up for anyone taping the upcoming Weezer tour to also tape
Ozma. I failed to tape them last time they toured with Weezer and greatly
regret it. I will be taping the Rochester, NY stop. Interested in other HQ
recordings from this tour as well as recent HQ recordings of Jimmy Eat
World, Tool, The Get Up Kids, Tori Amos/Rufus Wainwright.

Once again I'm posting here looking for people who are planning
on taping, or could possibly tape any of the following shows...
There are multiple dates in the United Kingdom and Spain,
and then a full US tour w/ a few dates in Toronto.
I'm mainly looking for Death Cab for Cutie, but any Dismemberment
Plan fans out there that might be taping them, please stick around for
Death cab as well!
Check http://www.dcfc-tour.net/upcoming.htm for specific
dates. Some dates are covered, but both bands allow SBD
and video when the venue isn't against it. Looking for ALL
sorts of tapers.
Thanks much,
Andy

I would imagine it is 'audience taping OK', either "from your seats" or
tapers' section. The band was taper-friendly at all of the summer venues
it played at (e.g., The Summit)...
...and last Saturday, we saw Robert Randolph at "The Egg" in Albany, NY,
which is usually a "no taping" venue, but they announced that taping from
your seat was OK because the artist allowed it. That was a first at the
Egg, as far as I know, the place has a big "No audio recorders" sign out
front...
So I think you'll be OK with The Word...

Hi, I would guess by now there is a great sounding tape of the entire amnesty
show from JFK circa 1988.. Does anyone HAVE all of the main acts, either SBD
or Very good aud. It is a for my girlfriend, she was there, of course I
would like a copy for myself.
If you can help it would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Wow, 24/96, phantom, USB, all kinds of goodies in one small package. I
looked (on your site and Midiman's) but didn't see any specifics about
powering it. I'll cut to the chase, is it AC or DC? And can/does it
dither at the higher bit settings? All Midiman says is "The Duo's
digital output is compatible with 24-, 20- and 16-bit devices."

The Larry Keel Experience, a progressive Bluegrass/Newgrass ensemble from the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, is coming to the Big Apple!
Larry Keel is a 2-time flatpicking guitar champion from the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.
LKE plays extensively in the Southeast, deep south, out west, and is building a good following in the Northeast.
Any bluegrassers, jamgrassers, and fans of acoustic, improvisational, roots music should NOT miss this show!!
This is the ultimate band for mind-bendin', sophisticated pickin', mixed with Appalachian Soulful stomp!
They have recntly shared the stage with a wide variety of artists, including...the Del McCoury Band, David Grisman Quintet, Vassar Clements, Norman Blake, Leftover Salmon, David Nelson Band, Donna the Buffalo, Sam Bush, Bela Flek, Yonder Mountain String Band, Keller Williams, and Larry Keel has done a couple of duets with the legendary Tony Rice!!
LKE performs their magic in NYC on Thursday, January 17 at 10:00pm, at
TRIBECA BLUES (16 Warren St. 212-766-1070)

Hi all, just an update on the NYE shows!
All that has come in... have been done and shipped right back out :)
So far Contributions received so far come to just over A GRAND!
Thanks for helping me raise this so far...that is only a two day total of
collecting!
I'm expecting much more to arrive....
****************************************************************************
*************
But I still have spare drives ready to spin more for folks that want to
contribute!
And these will have a FAST TURN-AROUND
So if you can afford to help out, why wait on a B&P Offer to be accepted,
when you can send me your contribution for Savannah...and get my immediate
attention to your B&P!
I also have the Christmas Jam ready to go also, if anyone needs it!
****************************************************************************
************
DETAILS posted before.......
Many folk's have asked "How much is enough?"
These are average totals of offers so far:
The biggest offer so far has been $200 (Thank You) :)
A lot more were around $100, but than again some have offered $10 to $20 a
set!
So that seems to be a good area to start at..... $10 to $20 a set...... $50
to 100 a night!
Again this is charity, and if you were to buy a set of CD's from a record
store selling bootlegs, you would be expected to pay at least $30 to $50 per
set, and they wouldn't even begin to compare with the quality of these
tapes!
********* NOTE ****************
(BOOTLEGGERS SUCK, DON'T BUY BOOTLEGS)
Remember this is not a Bootleg offer, it is a Contribution Offer!!
************************************************************************
Send B&P & Money Order MADE OUT TO: "The Savannah Woody Education Fund"
************************************************************************
Savannah is the Daughter of the late Allen Woody (Incredible Bassist for
Gov'T Mule, Blue Floyd & the Allan Bros) And a great cause of Mr. Haynes!
Mail these to:
Bob Silver
1780 SW 13th St.
Boca Raton, Fla 33486.
*************************************************************************
FOR NYE ***6 discs total**
Audio discs needed: Phil (3)1-80min, 2-74min, Crusader Rabbit (1), and Rat
Dog (2)
* Add one more 80 min disc for the Derek Set
For the 30th you would need 5 disc's at the most!
So for Audio that adds up to *****12 disc's for a complete 2 night run!
***** Audio!!
Maybe 13 if only 74 mins were used!
I believe it will take 5 cd's for shn's for NYE and 4 cd's for the 30th
It takes 8 for the complete run on SHN!
****************************************************************************
**************
I won't turn down anything, but as a incentive....The BIGGER the Dollar
number....the FASTER the service :)
****************************************************************************
**************
Be sure to label your disc's as to what I'm making, also wether it is to be
a SHN or Audio!
When you recieve your music....I expect you (If able)to Spread it to at
least several others, that will also spread it!
Maybe we could all start a tree, since a lot of folks will have the music
soon!
100 Contributors > 2-Branches > 2-Leaves = 400 extra people could have this
show if we all spread it to two others!
If so LMK
"The Savannah Woody Tree" ?
Thank You from the Bottom of my Heart!
Peace,
Boca Bob Silver

Have you listened to all of the sources? How can you be so sure it's "THE
BEST FOB"?
I am a little troubled by the precedent your offer sets. Is Phil aware of
them? Linking money and the music we tape and spread is getting into
dangerous territory no matter how good the cause.

I am working with a trader who has analog cassette copies of some
shows. Due to equipment accessibility, he would like to copy to MD first,
then to CD. Wouldn't copying to CD directly result in the best quality, or
would the audible difference be negligible since the source is analog?
