Well, I'm going to, because you are.
> I don't give a rat's ass about the 22 bucks.
Then why did you waste your time telling us about $22 you lost because you
wanted a refund of your non-refundable deposit? Personally, I've never
put down a deposit on anything that was *fully* refundable. If you didn't
know, you should have asked. When you placed your preorder, you told
SonicSense "hey, I would like one of those things, please reserve one for
me." That's one less they can sell to someone else who would actually
have paid for it. Let's say they fill up their preorder list and you're
on it the day these things ship, but you suddenly cancel last
minute. Oops, they're out $1200.

My judgement is that this is much ado about nothing.

hello friends. looking for someone who might be going to tape P'Funk/All
Stars/Clinton (not too sure what they're called right now) next wednesday @
the Ice House in the Olympic Village in Salt Lake City. A band i know, the
Howling Diablos are opening that gig and i'd love to secure a copy of it.
TONS to offer as trade bait. Also anyone who may have ever recorded the
Diablos please contact me. I think they are at SXSW again this year, and i
know theres plenty of tape (among other things) being rolled there.
thanks to all

I have no connection with Mark or Sonic Sense other then being a very satisfied customer over the last 2-3 years. I have had nothing but the most positive of experiences dealing with him on several occasions. He has always been very helpful and willing to take the time to personally assist me in choosing the proper gear for my needs. Anyone else I've ever talked to about doing business with Sonic Sense and/or with dealing with Mark on a professional or personal business have had nothing but good things to say.

I contacted already a longtime ago the guys in Seoul Korea from Egosys.
In august last year (2001) the promised in a email that the will make an xp
version
for the contol program before december 2001.
Actually they said their "german"developpers will do that.
Until now they did not !
Again I asked.
I get a new email and they said they are busy to develop a new u2apan.exe
for xp
The problem the said is that xp is using different volume stepping than w98
or w2k is using.
Until now nothing is happpening.
so untill now no xp support for the U2A. !!!!
Copy from this email, wich email is intended to be included in the Dat heads
digestifier list I sent to egosys.

With all the discussion that's come up recently concerning the selling
of tapes etc., taping with and without an artists consent etc. When a
musician sends out a request to the taping community at large, and they've
supported and allowed taping of their shows, I sure hope like hell that
everyone who has taped them supports them and returns the favor with a
clone of any shows they may have.
Please return the favor to the artist. They help to keep our hobby alive.

Mint condition...I paid $95...asking $40...
Info from Len's site (http://www.core-sound.com/DFT.html): There are two
common connector/media formats for digital audio (S/PDIF, AC-3) interfaces
in consumer electronic products: Toslink/MiniPlug for transfers over fiber
optic cable, and RCA for transfers over coaxial cable. Many digital audio
products, (e.g., Sony DTC-670/DTC-690 DAT recorders, Alesis ADAT, DVD
players, CD-R recorders, computer CD-ROM players, digital receivers,
satellite receivers and CD players) provide only one of the two interfaces.
Core Sound's Digital Format Translator ("DFT") fills the gap.
In addition to the industry standard RCA and Toslink connectors, Sony has
added a third proprietary connector: the 7-pin connector used on their
portable DAT recorders. Until now, interfaces to this odd connector were
hard to find. The DFT allows full access to the 7-pin connector, providing
coaxial and Toslink inputs and outputs to/from the TCD-D3, -D7 and -D8.

I'm selling some accessories... sorry for the crosspost.
my new ccm4s don't work with the Audio Technica AT8410 shockmounts so I'm
getting rid of the shockmounts. retail ~$100/pair new. i also bought a
schoeps STC ortf bar and thus have no need for the shure a27 bar. retails
~$67.50 new.
i'm also willing to do a trade of some of this plus a sony poc-da12p
optical>7pin>optical digital cable. i've used it for transferring from DAT
to CD but cant use it in the field and need a field 7pin>*COAX* i/o cable,
like the oade or whatnot.
let me know if you're interested in any of this stuff. i'm also selling a
takamine e531c electric/acoustic cutaway guitar...
