They played at the Ottobar on February 7th. I taped the show and got
good results, except my deck screwed up or something and I missed most of
the last song. Just wondering if anyone got the whole set, or even just
the end.

I received email from some interested parties, but noone seems to have
taped this. In the event that I posted too quickly last time, I wanted to
try again.
Did anyone tape 2/4/02 at Irving Plaza?
Tom Tom Club (ex-Talking Heads) with B-52's in New York City (Feb 4)
Various members of the Tom Tom Club will jam along with the B-52's during
their 25th anniversary party in Irving Plaza in New York City tonight (Feb
4, 2002). Chicks on Speed, the German electro-girls-trio from Berlin will
also make an appearance. The Chicks covered and three B-52's songs on their
Ep "Chix 52" and are rumoured to be working on a cover version of Tom Tom
Club's "Wordy Rappinghood". It's gonna be a wild night...
I read that the show included Tina Weymouth (bass - Talking Heads) played
with the B-52's during some classic B-52 songs like Private Idaho. Please
get in touch with me if you taped this show. I have lots to offer in
return. (See website below).
P.S. Talking Heads will re-unite in March for their introduction to the
RnR Hall of Fame.
Take Care,
Delano

Help needed!!
My Sony DTC-690 went wrong over the weekend, and I wondered if anybody on
the list had some thoughts about the cause / cure? When I'm playing tapes
there is a lot of distortion/noise and when the tape is being FF / RW'd the
absolute time counter stops moving till the tape stops and then corrects
itself. I'm thinking that maybe it's a head probelm? I've kept the heads
clean with a proper cleaning tape so maybe there's something the cleaner
can't move or the heads need adjusting? I'm living in Frankfurt Germany so
if the unit needs to be checked professionally, does anyone have a
recommendation for service in the Frankfurt area?
Many Thanks
Keir

Extremely low hours, as both have seen little recording use-- mainly used as
playback units for DAT>PC transfers. Both have leatherette case, wall wart,
and photocopies of instruction manual, cleaning tape. No 7pin cables or any
other goodies, just 2 solid, little-used decks that need a new home, since I
need the $$$ before I lose MY home!
Id love to get $375 for each, but will entertain reasonable offers. Thanks!
