Date: Wed, 27 Mar 2002 20:18:23 -0600 (CST) I'm thinking about taping the Everclear frontman on his solo acoustic tour at The Gargoyle in St. Louis Thursday night. Anybody ever been there? Is it a safe neighborhood, how's security, etc...? Any help would be much appreciated. Feel free to e-mail me off list. Sound Card help Date: Wed, 27 Mar 2002 20:11:31 -0800 (PST) Howdy, and let me apologize in advance if these types of questions are asked way too often. I've tried researching this topic, and I haven't been able to find too much. I've got a simple MD rig, AT831 > SPbatt. box > Sharp MT-99. I currently have a MD oldie, the Sony MZ-1 with a digital output for conversions. The only thing missing is my digital sound card for my computer. I'm on a pretty tight budget. All I want is something with an optical in. I've looked at the MIDIMAN DIO 2448, around $105. Not a bad deal. But I've heard of cheaper things, such as the Hercules Fortissimo II, that can be found here: http://www.newegg.com Just search for the Hercules Fortissimo II. I've seen old reviews for the Zoltrix Nightengale (I'm not sure if it's still available) and how it's really cheap and what not. While I am still only learning about taping and digital audio, I am a stippler for preserving digital audio. I'm all about EAC, original (no DAE) SHN's, and PROPER CONVERSIONS. I just wanna make good conversions for my tapes. If you can help with these products or even suggest something else, I would truly appreciate it, and would be glad to repay you with anything from my extensive DMB original shn list. Email me or I'll be checking this list, thanks again. :) email: chris_83_01@yahoo.com AOL IM: Pistol Cris ===== Check out my site: http://www.geocities.com/chris_83_01/ChrisDMB.html __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? If you already own Toast, you can get a competitive upgrade for around $35. ========================== Aye Net WebMail 2.0 http://www.aye.net/getmail ------------------------------ From: tom lippi Subject: any berkeley, ca tapers out there? The local college station...KALX...has been re-broadcasting some cool live shows from the late-70's/early 80's on Saturday nights. Over the past couple of weeks, they've had on the Talking Heads, Magazine and the Stranglers. Unfortunately, I can't get the signal in San Francisco. If anyone on this list does have good reception, can you please e-mail me off list? Thanks Tom __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo!
