Mr. Quimby's Beard European tour schedule:
April 20 - Copenhagen, Denmark Stengade 30
April 22 The Hague The Psychedelicatessen Radio show
April 26 Zoetermeer, Holland (with the Ozric Tentacles) De Boerderij
April 30 Berlin RAW Tempel
May 1 - Hamburg Molotov Club
May 3 Düsseldorf Haus Theodor/ (Rock Café)
May 4 Aschaffenburg Eclipsed Fest
May 5 - Verviers, Belgium Spirit of '66
MQB did a small tour of the states last November w/ NIK Turner. They allowed
board access, as well as video taping.
Some people compare them to Hawkwind. However, I feel they are a bit more
PROG and World Beat.
At any rate, if you are into spacey, progressive ultra psychedelic music w/
a killer lightshow, you should not miss them.
If you plan on taping and would like to trade, please contact me offlist.

Hi I am having trouble getting my computer to recognize the DAT/DDS drive
that I picked up. The drive is a Connor Seagate CTD8000 that has the audio
firmware and my scsi card is an Adaptec 2903B(that came with my Tascam
CDBurner Pro which is hooked up externally). I have tried to locate it with
scsiping with no luck, the card is set at 7, the CD burner at 6 and the DAT
drive at 5. It is powered up but will not be show up. I have termination
set to on(only internal scsi device) and termination power I've tried both
ways. I'm lost, TIA for any help.

In case it helps anybody for selecting tape length, Raitt started
her 6 month concert tour last night in Madison. Opener plays 45
minutes; Raitt comes on promptly (as scheduled) 30 minutes after
them. She played 1:45 inc. two encores.

Hi,
I have a Sony D7, and I would be interested in getting ahold of a service
manual for it if at all possible nowadays. Where should I look? Anyone
willing to sell one. A good (and complete) photocopy will suffice, unless
the price is too high.
Regards,
Anders

Subject: Synchronizing DAT/Cool Edit clocks???
Date: Sun, 31 Mar 2002 18:32:26 -0500
Hey Folks,
I was reading someone's DAT > CD transfer instructions and they mentioned
the importance of synchronizing the software's clock to the DAT's. I run an
M1 > VXPocket > Cool Edit Pro, but I have never been able to do this
synchronization. In fact, if I start to record before the DAT has passed a
signal I get an error message. It won't even let me record while I play the
leader section of the DAT. Any suggestions on how to synchronize the
software's clock? Any ideas on how to begin recording at the "TOP" of the
DAT or through the leader? Thanks in advance for any help.
