It saves the file as a new, smaller file, with the exact same total time, at the lower sampling rate: copied to the hard drive at 48khz: DGQ_48_.wav = 1,916,008kb 170:18.55 minutes total time after saving the file at 44.1: DGQ_441k_.wav = 1,760,337kb 170:18.55 minutes total time It is pretty quick, too. This took about 5 minutes. Now, if the algorithm that CDWave Editor v1.6 uses (which I am using) is somehow sub-par, that's another story.
