Please drop me a line if you can help me out. Thanks, Daniel ------------------------------ From: "Derek Swingley" Subject: FS: Denecke PS-2 Date: Fri, 19 Apr 2002 02:11:35 -0400 I have a PS-2 I no longer need. It was bought new from masterpiece av less than 3 months ago. It has seen very little use. Paid 150, looking to get 100 or best offer. -Derek ------------------------------ From: GaoBest@aol.com Subject: ISO: any good live Steps and one specific Love request Date: Fri, 19 Apr 2002 02:53:18 EDT Hi everyone, I don't even know if Steps sang live in concert, or just lipsynched, considering that every one of their songs had a different choreographed dance maneuver. But I'm still interested in any cool recordings/demos/rehearsals/etc of the disbanded Steps (and if you're unfamiliar with them, consider yourself lucky!). I can email a datlist, but I don't have any live Steps... Also does anybody have the Love/James Gang/black Sabbath gig from Fillmore West in 1969 or 1970? The idea of Black Sabbath opening for Love is amusing, but yes it really did happen... a friend of mine attended and it'd be a nice surprise. Many thanks, Mike gaobest@aol.com BWT: dat or cdr b/p for Pink Floyd 9-17-69 Amsterdam broadcast (through digital clones), 4 requests top sorry! ------------------------------ From: GuySonic@aol.com Subject: Re: Nomad Jukebox 3 #290 Date: Fri, 19 Apr 2002 03:31:37 EDT In a message dated 4/18/02 10:04:14 PM Pacific Daylight Time, DAT-heads-Request@datheads.phish.net writes: << ------------------------------ From: Matthew V Pfeil Subject: Re: Nomad Jukebox 3 Date: Thu, 18 Apr 2002 10:02:16 -0400 The Nomad Jukebox actually has digital input via an optical miniplug. It needs a new drum assembley & pinch roller. They came back to me with a most generous estimate (I'll give you the price in US$) - $240 for parts + $100 labour + $50 tax = $400. No way! About 3 years ago, I seem to remember Sony in the US were doing a deal that no repair would cost more than $250 (or something). Is that still running? I could get a US friend to deal with that side of things. Or anyone know of anywhere where I can get a more reasonable quote? Alternatively if anyone is selling a D7/8 at a reasonable price or wants to make a small offer for this one (it's just sitting here gathering dust), LMK. Thanks. Iain ------------------------------ From: "Master Recordings" Subject: mic question Date: Fri, 19 Apr 2002 17:34:10 +0100 While I'm here (I still have another D7 to keep me going!) I'm thinking of a change from the CSBs I've been using these last few years. The Soundman OKM II Binaurals have been recommended to me. Any thoughts? I use the mics as lapel clip-ons rather than croakie or hat mount (I'm 6ft4 so it's fairly effective) and the in ear thing sounded a good compromise. It's for a wide range of recordings from small club to festival. I know the debate is endless so I'm just looking for your own paractical experience if you've used both. In an attempt to obtain better picture and sound quality (DTS) we bought brand new TV's (Sony and JVC) and new DVD players (Sony and Zenith) and better connections (S-video and component) neither of the combos of DVD players and TV's resulted in a picture nearly as good as what we had. Does anyone know what the cause could be? Sony, and Brands Mart (place of purchase of the new equipment) seem as baffled as I am. Any info would be appreciated. I'll send a DVD or DAT or CD to anyone who can help. ------------------------------ ** FOR YOUR REFERENCE ** To unsubscribe from this digest, please send email to dat-heads-unsubscribe@datheads.phish.net If your email address has changed, you may (optionally) send the message to dat-heads-unsubscribe-oldaddress=olddomain@datheads.phish.net and the old address will be removed.
