SOS Heads:
I'm looking for a copy of the Procol boot titled Easter
Island, which I believe is on the Tendolar label. It's
supposedly a compilation of shows they did at the LA.
Troubador and Fillmore West in April 69. I'd also
appreciate a link to any known art work for the boot.
Also, does anyone have the set lists. I had a tape which
is MIA but I was never able to determine which tracks
were from which venue.

Hi All,
I've got a DAT-272 that I bought from Uncle John's
Wood Shop (www.ujws.com) a few years ago that I no
longer need. It is oak ply and has a black laquer
finish on it. I think I paid about $125.00 for it and
would like to get $65.00 plus shipping for it. The
craftsmanship is great and it holds a lot of DATs. I
live in the Minneapolis area, but would be willing to
ship it.
I also have a Tascam DA-20 mkII that I no longer use.
Purchased in 3/99 from Terrapin. It's been very well
cared for and has never caused me any problems. I
figure it must be worth around $350 or so. Please
contact me if interested in either or both.
Thanks,
Greg

The choice is clear. Etymotic ER-4S 'canalphones.' Get info at
http://www.etymotic.com and then buy them from http://www.headphone.com. They
need an amp, which you can also get from headphone.com, and they are the
absolute best sounding headphones I've heard. The added bonus is that they act
also as earplugs, so they block out more external sound than any other
headphone. It did take me about a week to really get comfortable with them,
but it was worth it.
Also, the good thing about buying from headphone.com, is that they have a money
back guarantee. You can't lose.
There are a few other Etymotic models that might suit you, but the ER-4S are
the best.

Etymotics under shooting muffs work best for isolation. They're kind
of a pain to put on and take off and I find the standard earpieces
really uncomfortable so I usually just use a pair of Sennheiser HD25,
but the Etymotics are way better at isolation and sound really nice, too.

Adam,
I am seeking a recording of a recent Tony Levin band performance in Seattle
on April 19. Do you know of anyone who might have this show available? It's
for a web feature I am producing in collaboration with Tony and his
soundboard recording of the show is missing some cuts.

By far, the best headphones you could ever use in a live situation ar ehte
etymotic er-4s series. They are earplug-style and provide 20dB of
attenuation of outside noise, and sound amazing (I'll put em up against my
sennheiser 600's any day of the week for overall sound)
www.etymotic.com
www.headphone.com
they aint cheap, but they are worth it. I recently scored a pair on ebay for
$200ish
At 1/2 the price, the er6's are prob good enough, considering the crappy
quality of most headphone jacks, but I havent heard them, so I couldnt say.

Hi. Someone on eBay has a sbd of McCartney's Washington DC show and the
bids are up to $100+. Has anyone taped a nice recording of this tour that
they'd like to trade for or B&P?
I'm sure we've all heard that this is an awesome tour so far and I'd love to
email all of the sbd $100+ bidders on eBay and offer b&p to each of them.
Beyond that, I'd love to hear the show and am having a hard time with the
ticket prices.
Anyway, contact me if you'd like to help!

Circumstances dictate that I must sell this machine. New, it costs $700.00.
The eco-charge Sigma Plus battery systems sells for $189.00 and includes the
recharger & a 4 pin XLR power cord for the MP-2. This battery has 2 XLR
connections to power a D7 an SBM-1 or something similar That brings the
total cost to $889.00. I think $675.00, plus shipping costs, is a good deal.
I have had this machine since November 2001 and only used it once. It is in
excellent working condition.
For more info on the MP-2 machine you can visit:

Whose? Etymotics don't seem to offer custom monitors; EAR, Inc
seem to offer a lower-cost custom pair at $175, and then seem to
be reselling the Futuresonics Ear Monitors at $600/pair.
