Subject: removing gaps

This is the method I use. Copy your disc to your HD, open each track in your favorite sound editor, go to the offending
area of the track (be it beginning or end), zoom in to about 32:1, place your cursor at the end of the wav and scroll across
the blank area. Delete & save. You want to zoom in that close so that you get all of the blank area, and any residual that
might be left won't be heard (or seen) when viewed at normal zoom ratio.

Subject: PNC Bank Arts Center Question
Date: Sat, 4 May 2002 01:19:30 EDT
Hi All,
I plan on taping the Who at the PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ this
summer, probably using a good cardoid mic. Tickets go on sale Saturday
morning, and I'm hoping to get a seat on the floor in the center area
(section 102 or 103) around 20 - 30 rows back.
If anyone that has experience taping at this venue and could provide advice
on the best area (or any "sweet spots") for taping at PNC I'd really
appreciate it.
TIA,
Rob

Hi Folks,
There are a number of you contacting me about issues
posting. I am always happy to help, but currently have
time pressures that are limiting that make timely responses
to all infeasible. This information is provided to you already
via dat-heads-help, so please follow the information in
the error messages you are getting.
I will individually deal with the couple of people who need help
changing their address (although see the bottom of the digest
or dat-heads-help for a way you can do this yourself).
To post to DAT-heads you must satisfy
a) Be subscribed to the list with the posting address
b) Send plain text submissions only
c) DAT-heads@datheads.phish.net must be in the
To: or Cc: fields
As ISPs sometimes muck up the first part and for
those with two accounts there is a special
"authorization list" which permits posting, w/o
receiving email. Simply send a message to
dat-heads-post-subscribe@datheads.phish.net
And within 5 minutes your sending address should
be authorized.
Microsoft outlook and other common mailers
automatically send HTML along with text
messages. You must turn this off for DAT-heads.
If you are using AOL 6.0, you may also have to
use the web interface. For detailed instructions
for several mailers, contact
dat-heads-help@datheads.phish.net as error
messages tell you to.
Since most issues are with outlook, here are
the basics. There are three solutions which
work equally well.
1) Set plain text on a per-message basis when
composing a draft. Format -> plain text in menus.
Do this everytime you send to dat-heads.
2) Add DAT-heads as a contact in the address
book, check "Send e-mail using plain text only."
Us the address book to mail dat-heads
3) Make plain text your default (not a bad idea),

Well, it's time for me to part with my MBHO's, after 2 years of reliable
service. I've made plenty of nice tapes with these, but now am looking for
something different. The mics are MBHO 603-200 cardioids, with the mic
cases they come with. They are matched consecutive numbered, and provide
very nice recordings from even the most wretched places.
Retail on them is about $1300, I'm looking for $975 and will throw in a set
of AKG mic mounts if you don't have any. No low-ballers, as these mics are
mint!!!!!
