Rich ------------------------------ From: "BILL MARRIOTT" Subject: mics for sale (DPA 4061) Date: Tue, 07 May 2002 19:15:47 -0700 (PDT) I am painfully parting with my microphones. Bought a little over 2 years ago from Core Sound. They are the High End Binaurals, aka DPA 4061, mics. I got the regular battery box with them, not the switchable bass rolloff kind. I have all accessories with them, with the exceptions of one of the clips that you can use to clip the mics to just about anything. I don't see extra clips on the Core Sound site, but i am sure that Len will sell you a pair. Comes with the right angle cable, windscreens, battery box and mics. Read about them here: http://www.core-sound.com/bk.html If you want it, i also have a Zefiro Inbox that fits with these mics nicely. If you buy the whole package, i will also sell my Oade Brothers Active digi patch cable so you are ready to go. Reason for selling, just bought a house and i need the cash to take care of some bills. Bought the mics for $1050 with tax, the Inbox was ~$350 and the Oade cable was $150. Will sell the whole package together for $1250 with all cables, but that is only together. I would really keep them together. The unit is in perfect condition. It has a coax output cable ($75-100 mod). Comes with box and manual and wall wart, but no pleather case. Looking to get $450 I'll pay shipping. My last buyer flaked. Feel free to forward to other lists you feel are appropriate. Peace, Zach ------------------------------ From: "Ryan :-<>" Subject: what's Los Lobos' taping policy? Regarding mic pres, I have just built myself one (veeeery slowly, as it turns out) based on a combination of the Headwize pocket headphone pre-amp found here: http://headwize.com/projects/cmoy2_prj.htm and the mic battery box found here: http://members.aol.com/MicDIYers/main.htm Other links and designs which I have uncovered are these, for balanced mics, and phantom power for mics (also some new Headwize projects I haven't looked over thoroughly yet): http://laplaza.org/~fvuotto/ssmicpre.html http://headwize.com/projects/showproj.php?file=kemhagen_prj.htm http://headwize.com/projects/eaton_prj.htm http://headwize.com/projects/opamp_prj.htm http://www.4qdtec.com/preamp.html http://www.nomad.ee/micros/preamp1.html http://www.epanorama.net/circuits/micamp.html http://www.epanorama.net/circuits/microphone_powering.html#phantom http://www.epanorama.net/circuits/microphone_powering.html http://www.geocities.com/ferocious_1999/md/micpreamp2.html Here is a Usenet discussion of mic pre's http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&threadm=91vtgp%24asg%241%40panix2.panix.com&rnum=3&prev=/groups%3Fq%3D%2522stepped%2Bgain%2Bcontrol%2522%26hl%3Den%26rnum%3D3%26selm%3D91vtgp%2524asg%25241%2540panix2.panix.com and a Usenet note from Win Hill (Guru of Electronics, co-author of the Art of Electronics) http://groups.google.com/groups?oi=djq&selm=an_656376382 Again, apologies for the length, but hopefully these will be useful. Date: Wed, 8 May 2002 11:55:33 -0700 (PDT) Hey Now All! I know that some of you are the consumate computer gurus! Well plese help this computer idiot out. I have somehow gotten a virus named w32.Klez.E@mm. It got past my norton scan and I went directly to the Symantec web site and downloaded a fix ' 1.0.6' and it says my system is clean. How ever I keep getting returned mail errors messages in my Outlook Express mail, to the tune of about 30 -40 a day. Now I know this is a worm and I have tried everything I know and When I called my ISP provider ( GTE/Vorizon) the tech said that if the symantec tool said I was clean I should stop getting the returned mail in a couple of days. HA! No good there. SO Does anybody ( Wayne, Seth ) have a solution other than throwing this thing into the Pacific Ocean? Please , I need to get this fixed ASAP. TIA, Michael BW Tax.. either Jorma 9/24.94 (2 discs) or Wil Bernard 3/15/01 ( 1 90m DAT ) Both soundboard to the person that can fix this for me and to the first person to who will offer these back up to the list. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Health - your guide to health and wellness http://health.yahoo.com ------------------------------ From: Greg Subject: Adam Brodsky - Please go tape Date: Wed, 08 May 2002 15:33:36 -0400 If any of you tapers out there want a couple of hours of rocking fold with an edge, some attitude and more laughs then a barrel of monkeys, go head out and give Adam Brodsky (http://www.adambrodsky.com) a listen. He is taper friendly and will probably toss in a few laugh just because he knows it is being taped. All you have to do is ask for Adam (or Mary, his merchandise person) at the door, and they will let you set up where ever you want.... or possibly give you a board patch.... but plan on bringing gear. Just tell him that Greg from Rochester NY sent you and you will be in. All that we ask is that you provide Adam or myself with a copy on DAT or CD.... it is that simple.
