If you keep trades with new people to a couple of DATs or CDs until you've done a few with them then you'll minimize the cost of doing business, so to speak, in running into the infrequent dink (or dinket as the case may be). ------------------------------ From: "Greg Weston" Subject: neil finn Date: Sun, 12 May 2002 12:07:17 -0700 I'm once again searching for Neil Finn recordings, both old and new, on DAT or CDR. Can anyone help out? Thanks, Greg my DAT list can be found at this crappy page: http://greg-weston.tripod.com/DATlist.html ------------------------------ From: Jason Neely Subject: Pitch change during Resampling Reply-To: bondibox@bellsouth.net Date: Sun, 12 May 2002 15:54:54 -0400 I can't believe no one has any thoughts on this serious problem: > Recently I got a seed of a show I myself had taped. When comparing > the two, I noticed that my copy was significantly (>1%) slower than the > other one. I recorded on a TCD-D100 @ 44.1 > from what I understand, there is timestamp information on each > recording which should ensure playback at the same speed as the > recording. > The other recording info is: lunatec V2 > Tascam DAP1 Transfer: > DA20 > MKII> WT 2496>SF 4.5 (resample to 44.1)>CDwav>MKW>shn I know someone who does a lot of home recording with a MOTU setup, and he has encountered situations where resampling only slowed the pitch one-half of one step, which is about the pitch difference in these two recordings, except I contend the resampled wavs were sped up by that amount. This is not an obvious difference, you would only notice it if you compared the two recordings side by side. This time I'll include a BWT in hopes of getting a reply: 2 shows for 1 person http://db.etree.org/bondibox -jas ------------------------------ From: Reboot Subject: looking for Jale Date: Sun, 12 May 2002 16:42:32 -0700 (PDT) Hi everyone, Thought I'd put out a call for Jale and see if anyone responds. I'd love to find radio sessions, audience recordings...anything! I have a pretty big, eclectic collection (including a few precious Jale boots) so please get in touch with me if you can help. thanks, Chris __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Date: Mon, 13 May 2002 01:08:56 EDT There are 2 shows that I had on my old HD but it crashed and I lost many of the SHN shows that I had, if anyone has these on DAT or in SHN could you help me out? Pink Floyd 07.09.94, R.F.K. Stadium Roger Waters 07.27.99, Gund Arena, Cleveland, OH I haven't found them yet but I'm looking for 2 1994 shows that I was at: Pink Floyd 05.26.94 and 05.27.94 both at Cleveland Municipal Stadium. I have analog masters of both of these but I would rate one of them at a 3 out of a 10 at best.
