I'm moving in two weeks, cleaning up, packing up, etc. Uncovered the
following extras on CD for trade (direct from DAT masters by myself or
people who know how to properly make CDs)
Neil Young + Crazy Horse Bridge Benefit Mtn View CA 10/20/01 1 CD
Pearl Jam Bridge Benefit Mtn View CA 10/20/01 1 CD
Ani Difranco Milwaukee 3/14/02 2 CD
All Schoeps, all FOB/DFC.
Send a list or URL for a quick trade. Ani on cheap CDs, others on TDK,
all have writing on the CD. No interest in "jam bands", no interest in
improperly transferred/duplicated CDs. Once these are traded they are
gone.

Anyone interested in buying a 5' Hosa AES/EBU cable, still in original
packaging; brand new? Sells for 15-20 bucks, asking 10 plus 3.50 for
priority mail. Unfortunetly I have no use for it. Would also consider
trades.

If you don't use it and might like to part with this small LCD-faced
remote, please let me know. Might even consider wired older RMT-D100 with
no LCD but can record too kind of remote.

Well, regarding my question from a couple of days ago regarding batteries &
wiring the answer was...
Just buy two batteries if you need 6-volt and 12-volt.
Sounds reasonable to me... that's probably what I'll do.
I still wouldn't mind seeing some more links if anyone has them... here's
one of the better ones I've found:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TERRAPIN STATION - A GRATEFUL DEAD FAMILY REUNION
TO TAKE PLACE AUGUST 3RD AND 4TH
AT WISCONSIN’S ALPINE VALLEY
New York NY - May 21, 2002 – Almost seven years to the day after the
Grateful
Dead’s last show ever, all surviving members of the original band – Mickey
Hart,
Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh, and Bob Weir – will reunite as The Other Ones
for
Terrapin Station, a Grateful Dead Family Reunion. Taking place Saturday,
August
3rd and Sunday August 4th at East Troy Wisconsin’s Alpine Valley Music
Theatre,
Terrapin Station will not only mark the first time all four members are
performing together since 1995, it will also celebrate the music, art, and
culture of the Grateful Dead.
A two-day event, Terrapin Station will feature two music stages, a spoken
word/interview stage, and memorabilia tent showcasing items from the Dead’s
personal collection. Phil Lesh and Friends, RatDog, Mickey Hart & Bembé
Orisha,
Bill Kreutzmann’s TriChromes, and Robert Hunter are also scheduled to play
on
the main stage throughout the two days. Each show will conclude with The
Other
Ones performing two sets. Confirmed second stage artists include The Disco
Biscuits, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Donna The Buffalo, and Karl
Denson’s Tiny Universe, as well as acoustic performances by Warren Haynes
and
Jorma Kaukonen.

Friends,

and Rob Barraco (Phil Lesh & Friends) on keyboards and vocals.
Cameron Sears, President/CEO of Grateful Dead Productions noted, "The
musicians
that created Grateful Dead along with their fans helped give birth to a
family
and community that has no equal in the history of modern music; when they
join
forces for Terrapin Station it promises to be the one family reunion that
nobody
will want to miss." Phil Lesh commented, "We started rehearsing this week
and
I’m excited. This is going to be very, very good."
Formed in the San Francisco area in 1965, The Grateful Dead are one of the
most
popular groups in rock 'n' roll history. Throughout their 30-year career
they
became much more than just a band; they are an institution that changed the
music world forever.
The ticket price for Terrapin Station will be $44.50 per day, plus a $.50

i guess it was bound to happen? the mccartney show from philadelphia was
traded exclusively to the datheads community, all save for a few close
friends. any of you who have the time, please send hate mail to "mrents"
who is currently peddling this show on Ebay. I have contacted the current
list of bidders and encouraged them to post on this newsgroup for a copy as
opposed to purchasing from "mrents". if any of you happen to be "mrents", we
damn you to hell, you loser. you'd sell your mother's jewelry if you thought
you could get away with it.

well, heres what "mrents" says in regard to why it is okay for him to sell
his mccartney show on ebay:
what makes you a low life is the point that you are
selling your recording, not the fact that you did it.
i'm down with live recording for personal use, but
when you sell it, there starts the problem.
So should I give it out for free?
I figured offering it for a small fee covered the cost of materials &
postage. I was hardly trying to make money. It's not like I'll get rich.
Plus, we were donating the money to McCartney's "destroy the landmines"
charity
i guess that makes it ok... for the record, he says he recorded it himself
with a portable dat, so at least the copy that's been circulating on this
list isn't the same one. i did email the bidder's and ask them to check here
for possible B&Ps.
this guy could destroy at least one landmine by putting his tape deck on it.
