Hi DAT-Folks,
I'm looking for any type of 7-pin cable that I can use bi-directionally,
I don't care if it's active or passive, optical or coax. I'm using an
Edirol UA-5 and I think my cable is about to die! Thanks for any help
you may be able to provide... email me off list if you've got a cable
you can part with.
Thanks,
Jordan

Hi all,
Subject line says it all....I have sent 8 units over so far since March
and 4 more are coming tio the USA next week....I am now told there is
only 2 new units left here and then no more as production and/or
importation here has ceased.
So if youn would like one let me know...first in and all that....
I have all references for those that have already purchased so you can
check out the offer.
Get in touch if you are interested.
BTW-I am after shows from the current USA tour of INXS and Midnight Oil
( Eric Postel...I will be in touch )

Marc sez:
"Now, while on the topic of sub-cards and big outdoor events, if DPA
ships the new 4026's in time, we'll give them a run at Bonnaroo. If you
haven't seen the news about these, check 'em out at
www.dpamicrophones.com"
=============================
This is what I found on the 4028s:
"The Type 4028 is a phantom powered (P48) compact condenser microphone using
the same type of
cartridge as the 4015 wide cardioid microphone, but is preamplified using a
build-in ultra-small
thick-film mounted FET-preamplifier."
So does this mean you wouldn't need a battery box or a pre-amp the phantom
power to them?
That would be sweet. I've used a Zefiro Inbox with AT933s that produced some
very nice recordings but throw in that battery box and you could hardly call
it stealth! Too many connections turn me off 8^) l8r -Rob.

With the Wind Gap festival coming up I find myself with one single blank
DAT. Therefore, I am clearing out a box of 10 DAT's to swap for blanks if
anyone is up for it. I have the following to trade of a box of 10

Hi, everybody.
Sorry about the MIME-crap in my previous try at this.here's a plain-text
shot at it:
My BIG thanks to Randy Vogel, Dean Grabski, and 'the unknown taper' for
providing the source materials for this tree. Essentially, the JGB
shows in this tree PICKed me -- i was at each one of the them. 12-4-83
was my first JGB show. The 8-11-84 show was amazing, and the 9-9-89
show rocked and featured Clarence Clemmons for the entire show. The
actual recordings range from very good to excellent here, and we have to
remember it wasn't always easy to tape Jerry Garcia Band shows.
The shows in this tree are
*JGB, 12-4-83, Stonybrook, NY
*JGB, 8-11-84, West Caldwell, NJ
*JGB, 9-9-89, Mansfield, MA
You can view the recording information, track listings, and cd
requirements for this tree at the usual location:
http://frankspicks.org <http://frankspicks.org/> . also on this page
are links to a story about some true American heroes of September 11th,
2001 and a way to donate their worthy cause.
To sign-up for this tree, please send an email to me at
'frank@frankspicks.org' with a subject of 'JGB: 80's Audience Recording
CD Tree' as the subject.
This link can get you started:
mailto:frank@frankspicks.org?subject=JGB:%2080's%20Audience%20Recording%
20CD%20Tree.
In the body of the email, please include this information **on a SINGLE
line and separated by commas**:
Name, Email Address, State Abbreviation (or country if not USA), CD or
SHN, and Branch. If you choose to BRANCH, please be able to make
between two and four sets of DAO copies.
Here's some examples -
for a branch:
Frank Venezia, fvenezia@lehman.org, NY, SHN, branch
for a leaf:
Bobby Nystrom, bnystrom@isle-alumni.ca, Canada, CD
I'll put the SHN folks at the top of the tree and put the cd-audio folks
underneath them in the structure. (there will be no SHN leafs, though.)
Thanks, everyone.
Take care.
Frank

Hi,
A while back I exchanged some mail with the Oade
Brothers and they mentioned trying to get Sony
to make up a batch of the POC cables. I believe
another vendor (Marc? Frank) was doing likewise.
So far that has been unsuccesful.
In any case, right now they have a few of the POC
in stock and a good stock of passive cables which
they suggest for the (d7/d8/d3). They also have
some stock of new D8s available for sale.
As previously mentioned they are only packaging
active cables with new decks, recommended for
D100s/M1s (not certain what they have of those).
They are apparently looking into other chaining
solutions for the future, but no news for now.
I know Core Sound is still building cables, which
AmDig has. I believe Cascade had some of Pro
Digital's cable (passive??), but I am not certain
any more are being made. Since those folks
read the list, I welcome them and others like
Klay/Gary to update us on both DAT availability
and 7-pin cables.

Just finished converting this bill. It's a great one, so do check it out.
Pay particular attention to Darden Smith. I'd never heard his stuff before
last night, but would very much like to get his music spread. He's
fantastic, and I'd love to see some of his stuff start going around.
I have only a couple .shn discs spun up and am looking to get these both
spread around, but please no requests for audio discs; I haven't the time.
Both sets fit on one 700 MB CD-R and contain the same source:
