Just a request for you tapers and concert attendees who plan on seeing
Rush on this tour. Could you hold off on posting the setlist (or at least put
a warning in your topic) for a while? I'd hate to have to unsubscribe to DAT-
heads until the show. I'm already avoiding the Rush trading groups at least
until then.
Thanks!

I bought my Rack here at Sonic Sense.
Im in no way affiliated w/ Sonic Sense, just an FYI from a happy =
customer.
I own 8 of these Bad Boys.
http://www.sonicsense.com/shelves.htm
Made by a Dathead in the "Mountains of Colorado" for Datheads.
Using Solid Cherry Oak, with a solid veneer back, that allows carrying =
while full.
The main difference from the Sonic Units VS Uncle Johns IS:
the Depth of the Sonic rack is 2" allowing "fingertip grab"!
the Uncle john rack is 2 5/8" deep ,
making the Dat "Disappear" into the Rack, You have to DIG it out!
Uncle John Charges .55 each dat space
Sonic Sense =3D .49 per space
that saves you 18.00 alone for the SAME quality.

I was wondering if someone might kind enough to help me out with a small,
quick trade. I would like pick this CO summer show, and spread to my

Well, it has probably been 5 years since I last posted to Dat-heads. So
much has changed since then.
For one, internet trading is finally a reality. In fact, for the last few
weeks I have been downloading shows from Furthur. What is the general
consensus on this? It seems legit- meaning, I get the whole show, good
quality, lossless compression. I really like it. It beats sending dats
through the mail. It also beats loading a dat onto the HD then burning a CD
to send.
I read a few posts and was surprised to see that 24/96 recording is not a
reality. They released a tascam deck a few years ago that was capable of
doing this. I thought by now, that would be the norm. I was really hoping
to hear a few shows recorded that way.
Also, I went into a small club in NYC recently to tape a show. The guy
fully denied be a board hookup. He laughed at the notion. I told him that
I always do this. He laughed again. I guess with the whole mp3 stuff,
bands (or clubs) no longer allow this? He said no club in the city would
allow this.
And finally, I am selling one of my dat decks to anyone interested. It is a
Tascam DA20. Hasn't been used in a few years. I bought it new in 1996 from
the Oades brothers (are they still around?). It is in very good condition,
maybe a small nick or two, but nothing that effects the operation. A few
times over the years, a tape would get stuck in the draw. But powering off
then on again would fix this problem. I never lost a tape to it. I am
asking $200. Anyone interested, please reply to my email address, not the
list. I have the original remote and owner's manual.
thanks, and good to be back in touch,
Dan or dkan24 or even dank over the years!

Yeah, go ahead and contact them directly in Berlin and ask for "Rolf"...he
repaired my OKM mics before (once because the plastic around the capsules
broke apart and a second time because a club owner destroyed them after he busted
me while taping) and never charged much...The "plastic" thing repair was for
free, the damaged mics were completely repaired for only 50DM (~€25)
I need to send my OKM rock mics to him anytime soon because of the very same
damage again...
