Leona Naess is playing The Enterprise in London England on July 15th.
Tickets are 5 pounds and doors open at 7pm. This is the only information I
have for the show, I learned this news from
http://www.barflyclub.com/Camden/gigs.htm#Acoustic . I would love a copy if
anyone in the area can tape it. I am willing to pay for your tickets, a
drink, gas money or whatever else you would like. I am quite desperate for
anyone who can tape this and I apologize for the short notice, if you can
help me please contact me privately. please!! :)

An alternative to DIY is to buy one of my 6V-AA powerpacks

A few days ago, I asked in the post about the tour
dates of a band and asked if somone was taping.
I instantly I recived a mail from this guy, telling me
about the recent show that he taped from one of the
dates of the band that I previously asked, he sent a
URL with a review of the concert, pictures and even a
sample of his taping..
So I kindly contacted him for three times asking if
he was willing to trade
And I didnt had any response from him
not even a No or Go away!
So what is the point?
He made it that just for showing it off?
Thise is one of the things that for me.... makes
taping cruel or even rude
Like the example of the concerts sold at ebay or those
to be found in MP3 format or SNH in the internet
The taper spent lots of time and money so at the end
the taping was caught by a moron trying to get $ ??
I could easily knock off lots of people in here with
shows I have but......again whats the point just for
saying....
I wont give it to you...... NO WAY
or posting on their lists........
This is my list:
Van Halen ..bla bla bla NOT FOR TRADE
Black Sabbath NOT FOR TRADE
Hey ! I have it and you dont, dont even write me!

Due to the lack of free time, and my audio needs becoming direceted
elsewhere - I have some things that do not see the use they should, and are
now up for sale. Need to gather some money for some Neve modules I'm having
racked...
1) Sonosax SX-M2
Sonosax is in great shape, comes with original hard case, and manual. Unit
also comes with a Powersonic 12v lead acid battery and charger, along with a
power cable, this system will power the Sonosax for a couple shows at
least...
asking $750 for the package
2) Schoeps kc-5 active cable pair, and STC ortf bar.
Never used outside the studio for m/s work.
asking $600 for the package
3) Audio Magic Sceptor-II 15' mic cable pair.
These are older cables, have a whole bunch of tape gunk on them from holding
them down on various stages in the tri-state area. These are great sounding
mic cables, yet I now usually run way too many tracks to worry about cable
transparency. These are very stiff cables, yet translucent in apperance to
the silver core of the cable
asking $100 for the pair.
4) Audio Magic 3' RCA>XLRM Presto-II cable pair
As new condtion, asking $50

Got a nice surprise at a show last night, now I'm kicking myself for not
bringing two videotapes. Opening for Wayne Kramer on this tour is a band
called Mother Superior....turns out they are Henry Rollins' backup band, and
they kicked ass! Not sure how much of their tour is left, but both acts not
only allow taping, but encourage it....bring extra tapes for Mother
Superior, they're well worth taping. If you do or did tape on this tour, of
course I would like to hear from you. If you're not familiar (I wasn't)
with Wayne Kramer's current set, don't expect MC5 Part II....his current
material sounds more like late-era Killdozer....

I gave this a try but unfortunately was only sickened by the baby crap at
Toys 'R Us and got no umbrella ;-(
I did a little searching on the web and the best I came up with was this:
http://www.babyant.com/bv022074.html
It's apparently 2 feet in diameter. I saw someone at High Sierra using
something just like this that was 1 foot in diameter. It looked like the
perfect thing.
Anyone have any suggestions on where else to look?
Or, failing that, where you can get a plain old 1-foot diameter umbrella?
Thanks!

Hey all!! Im hoping you can answer my question;
When going digitally live on the fly from a 48 kHz source to a 44.1 kHz
recorder, what would be attributes to listen for if it were NOT being
dithered well? Some have suggested letting a box like the Behringer SRC2000
do the conversion from 48 to 44.1- not the recorder. To me, the recorder
(HHB CDR-850) seems to be doing a swell job. But maybe I'm not listening for
the appropriate things that would make you the expert cringe. Comments?

Subject: For Sale: 3 DTX-10 Car DAT units forsale
Date: Sun, 14 Jul 2002 13:30:51 -0700 (PDT)
Subject line says it all.
I would prefer to sell all three to a sole buyer,
but I would consider splitting them up too.
Units 1 and 2 are guaranteed to work.
Unit 3 is not, and may be good for parts.
I have three connecting wire kits which join up the DAT unit to the car's power.
One kit is NEW, the other is mildy used, the last is
a mess. :-) (See them all in the last pic.)
Please see these pictures:
http://boutell.com/~jeremym/ebay/car_dat1.jpg
http://boutell.com/~jeremym/ebay/car_dat2.jpg
http://boutell.com/~jeremym/ebay/car_dat3.jpg
http://boutell.com/~jeremym/ebay/car_dat_manual.jpg
http://boutell.com/~jeremym/ebay/car_DAT_Wires.jpg
These are NOT going up on ebay -- at least right away.
I'd like to give the DAT-head the oportunity to get them from
me first.
It's been a while since they've been in my car -- but again, I stand by Units 1 and 2 with a full 5 business day money back guarantee. If it doesn't work for you, just SEND IT BACK, and I'll return your money.
PayPal works best for me.
Make an offer for the whole lot -- all three units, or just one of them (and a wire set).
We can work out shipping once you decide you want a unit.
I'm suggesting $150 for each of the working units, or $300 for both working units and I'll include in the non-working unit for free.

Subject: Plextor 40/12/40 software burning issues?
Date: Sun, 14 Jul 2002 17:02:17 -0400
I just hooked up my new Plextor (40x12x40)
Got ready to burn the many B&P's, Donation Offers, and few Trades that I
took in (That I have been behind on %^)
And found that my new burner isn't burning when I use my old software (Nero
or Feurio)
I know this is probably due to the fact that they are older programs and
this burner is NT.
But my problem lies in the fact that I can't afford to upgrade the burning
software...and don't want to use the Roxio program...unless someone can tell
me if they have fixed it, or made it better!
I will make a killer Bandwidth tax when I am able to get up and running once
again....and to those that I owe (B&P's, Donation Offers, and few Trades
that I took in..) I'll get them going as soon as I'm able to do so!
If you are waiting...drop me a note so I can organize my duties...I do have
a pile lying on desk in front of me, but you know how that can get!
And the fact that I have been out of work for a while, doesn't help either
:(
Gather the memories and spread the love!!
Peace,

I think the most common problem with on-the-fly conversion is
speed accuracy, so try comparing the original with the CD copy.
If you do not find any problems with the HHB converter, there
is little point in going to a different on-the-fly converter. But, if
you have a computer that could make these conversions to a
hard-drive file of the material, then run-don't-walk to that method.
FWIW, the term dither does not apply to sample rate conversion.
Dither is the term given to the process of reducing 20 or 24 bit
samples to 16 bits using a "smart" algorithm rather than simple
truncation.
Cheers,
Bob
