Wow! This really points out that getting these messages
in Digest forms isn't so great. I miss out on tickets, freebies,
B&P's, dinner, drinks......lots of stuff.
God bless the people who take B&P's at random.

Best I can offer here is that I spent some time with each of the units
at NAMM in January.
Earlier this week, Superscope/Marantz indicated that the power supply
was in the final design stage for the CDR300 and production units should
be shipping in 30-45 days. We'll have a few arriving at that time and
have lots of info on our website soon after.
They look great and seem quite rugged. Quite bulky at roughly 14" x 14"
x 4" and must be kept level as the transport utilizes the standard tray
loading mechanism without any locking feature on the disc.
Happy Recording Everybody,

Well... I've decided to get rid of my Apogee AD1000. I've owned it for
about 18 months and have ZERO problems with it. It was purchased directly
from a studio in California. Included will be a protective wooden box and
15 pin breakout cable (w/spdif out and xlr for battery operation). It is
the Platinum Edition as well.
All offers will be considered.

I am in search of DATs or CDR's from DATs of the new Yes tour which is
kicking off tonight. Have lots of MD tapers going out, but need some high
quality DATs of the shows also...please consider taping these shows as they
are the "classic" lineup from the early and late 70's:
Rick Wakeman
Steve Howe
Chris Squire
Jon Anderson
Alan White
These guys will very likely not be together for long if past history serves
as an example, so get 'em while you can :-)
The setlist is phenomenal including songs that haven't been played in a
LOOOONNNNG time, and one which has only been played a few times ever from
the classic "Fragile" album. Even if you consider them a bunch of old
farts, you will not be disappointed in this show.
Contact me offlist if you get any shows, as I will be looking for trades. I
will be taping at least one show from the 8th row...maybe more if things
fall into place. Also there is a Direct Connect hub up for trading
Yesshows, many classic and recent shows there, looking to fill it up with
more from the current tour.
Contact me offlist at craig@the-chambers.net if taping and trading and we
can work something out. I have over 200 Yes and related shows on my list, so
surely I will have something you are interested in.
Thanks for listening!

It is time to release the beast! This deck only has
88 hours on drum 1 and 84 hours on drum 2. It is the
only dual DAT deck, so no need for two decks; you can
do your clones with just this unit. I have the
remote, original box and the manual. It is in mint
shape, and shows no signs of wear. It has never been
rack mounted either. Any interest, contact me via
email at shmurg@yahoo.com...
Thanks for the space...

I just got a sweet deal on the GP ADC-20. Here's my question. How do I go from the ADC20 to my d8? I have the 7 pin to RCA, but I was told the RCA Coax and AES don't match up and wouldn't work. Any ideas guys?

>> If the program has a shortfall, it's the fact that
it can't tell if the CD-ROM you are using is accurate
or not, so the results are only as good as the
hardware.
I don't understand this. In secure mode, EAC reads
each piece of data twice. It then compares the 2
reads. If they are the same, the program goes on to
the next read. If not, it continues to do reads on
that particular set of data until at least 50% of each
set of reads matches.
And even under Drive Options, there is a test for
"accurate stream." But this doesn't have anything to
do with whether or not the drive is accurate, it has
to do with jitter.

I believe because it was crossposted to other mailing lists and
individuals were on those mailing lists.
In its current incarnation DAT-heads is a digest, that is all that
is supported. This dates back to the University of VA
having trouble with the # of DAT-heads subscribers back in
the mid 1990s.
There are less than 10 addresses that get DAT-heads concurrently
with the digestifier including myself. A few of these are redistribution
mechanisms such as @cisco.com, @apple, @cmu which, when they
work, pass along the digest into local newsgroups. At least 3 people
are those who over time have contributed significant commentary to
the digest and for free provide their advice (Seth & Wayne are
the most prolific). About 2-3 whined really loudly. If people do want
to be active contributors, I am willing to expand this, but its not
going to become a supported option yet.
These folks are not expected to use that to gain an advantage on
B&Ps, etc... in the cases that I have personally been interested
in a trade or buying something I have made it clear that I saw
this before the digest and the person should consider giving
a real digester first dibs ... and they have in some cases.
DAT-heads isn't really about ticket grabs, B&Ps... etc. There is
no problem doing that here, but there is a reason why people
on other lists snap such things up, its because those lists are
about that.

My black camcorder bag was taken after the String Cheese Show in Darien Lake
last night. It had my laptop (sony vaio picturebook), microphones (2 akg
480's and 2 DPA 4061's), my pre-amp (ua-5), and various cables. If you know
or have heard of the whereabouts of this I would be very grateful if I could
get it back.

If everyone e-mails this to the people that they know that went to SCI at

Cleveland (Aug 14) a single in Section C126 (midcourt, upper row) and
