I'll transfer the RepairMaster warranty, good until November, to the buyer. Drum assembly was replaced two years ago, and the deck has had about 500 hours of use since then. You can find the auction at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1368090536&r=0&t=0&sho wTutorial=0&ed=0&indexURL=0&rd=1 or search for item 1368090536. Tom ------------------------------ From: Keith Bode Subject: Buying DAT's, or other Media, Masterpiece AV Date: Sun, 21 Jul 2002 11:27:39 -0700 I would endorse the recomendation of Masterpiece AV as a vendor to purchase DAT's, or virtually any other merchandise they sell. I have bought DAT's and CD-R media from them. I live about as far from them as you can live in the country, they are in CT, I am in So Cal, and they ship at a reasonable price for whatever method you choose. As Wayne said. they are always helpful, in my experience, and if they don't have the product or service you want, they will get it or refer you to the best place for it. Other vendors that have had media at better prices, Masterpiece has always matched the price for me, and shipped for the lowest price I have seen. I beleive an example of their shipping charges was about $8 for 200 TY CD-R Blanks, accross the country. They are usually the first call I make when looking for something. It looks like a great way to expand or start your Band collection. Feel free to pass on the info to anyone you think would be interested. Thanks for the bandwith, Ryan >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> The Band Traders Digest http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Bandtrades/ Post message: Bandtrades@yahoogroups.com Subscribe: Bandtrades-subscribe@yahoogroups.com Unsubscribe: Bandtrades-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com This digest was created for fans to trade the live and unreleased recordings of The Band and their numerous solo ventures. The selling of unreleased recordings or trading of commerically available recordings is strictly prohibited on this forum. Rather it is a place for fans to swap freely on a 1:1 basis, run trees/vines/weeds, liberate the many bootlegs that are out there and help those without anything to trade by making blank and postage offers. It is also a place to discuss setlists, concert recolections, swap cover art etc. Quality and making error free clones of CD's should be a priority of those spreading the music. Please take great care in trading and spreading recordings from analog sources to assure that you are spreading the best available source for a said recording. For this mailing list to work it is up to those that join to spread this fine music among the group, run tree's and be concious about quality and source information. There are other Band discussion groups I believe but none focus on the trading of their music on digital media. I think this music in under-represented on CD trade lists in general which I find very strange considering the stature of these musicians and their songs. I hope the creation of this mailing list will get this wonderful music out to more folks to enjoy. This group was inspired by the many other CD-R trading lists like Van-trades, Bromberg-trades, the Butterfield list, BUDD, DATheads, Heat Generation and others too numerous to list. Thank you and happy trading! The 'cats are grey and Rycotes are dark grey. You can see from link (1) that the Rycote's are much larger than the Micro-cats - so forget about stealth. Use the 'cats in normal conditions and break out the Rycote's for when it's really starting to gust. Price - $US 60 for *both* the cats and Rycote's in an airtight plastic box. Price *includes* airmail delivery anywhere in the world. Payment by paypal. I kind of messed up when I bought a soundblaster audigy card. I've since learned that it is NOT the card to get for recording purposes. I've now decided to go with a card from Terratec and I'd like to get some input from anyone who has one of these cards. The specific models I'm looking at are the EWX 24/96, the EWS 88D, or the DMX 6fire. I've been to the terratec site and seen the specs on each card but would like to hear from actual users. I'm leaning towards the EWS 88D, but I think any of the models would be great for transferring from DAT to the hard drive. Thanks in advance to anyone who wants to provide input and thanks for giving me the space to ask. Jim K. PS. Anyone want a slightly used soundblaster audigy card? ;-) ------------------------------ From: bswillia@comcast.net Subject: Help with DAT to CD-R transfers Date: Mon, 22 Jul 2002 00:19:48 -0400 Hello, I am afraid to admit that I have gotten out of the DAT world for lack of time. I have about 100 DATs however, that I would like to get transferred to CD-R. Unfortunately, I don't have the equipment to do so. If anyone can assist me in transfering the DATs to CD-R, I would be eternally grateful. Most of what I would like transferred are early Dave Matthews Band and Phish, along with an assortment of other jambands from the early-mid 90s. Ideally, I would send you the DATs, you would burn me the CD-R and send it to me, and you would keep the DAT. That way, you get something, I get something, and we're all happy! If you have an alternative proposal, however, I'm all ears. If anyone is interested, email me and I will send you a list of the shows. Ideally, I would prefer to work with one person to do all the tapes and transfering, to keep things simple, but if people are interested in only certain shows or can only do so many transfers, I completely understand. Hope somebody out there can help me out! Thanks in advance.
