Can anyone tape the following show?
77's
8/9/02 - Sacramento, CA
Old Ironsides, 1901 Tenth Street, Sacramento, CA 95818.
(916) 443-9751 (club), (916) 442-8832
http://www.theoldironsides.com
The 77's are an awesome band with an incredible lead guitarist named
Mike Roe.
I would be happy to pay for ticket, DAT or MD, gas, etc... I could more
than likely set up a soundboard feed as well.
Info, sound samples can be checked out at
http://www.77's.com
Any help would be much appreciated.

wow; nice to see that you've seen the light after trolling groups like this and stealing from your own son to make a dollar. it took getting busted to come to that viewpoint?
did you shake out his piggy bank while you were stealing from him and every kind soul as well?
also, this was also written;

And one other situation to address: the sale of an Incubus show that Scott claimed was proof I was still not finished selling. I think it's pretty obvious that I wouldn't even think of selling a show for quite awhile, let alone a mere few weeks after all of the trouble and attention I have brought upon myself. It was my plan to get the person's real name who was asking me for the Incubus show so I could find out who it was trying to harass me/trick me into selling once again.
>>end snip<<
am i to understand that yet another show was sold, with the afterwards disclaimer that "I wouldn't even think of selling a show for quite awhile, let alone a mere few weeks after all of the trouble and attention I have brought upon myself." do i understand this correctly? the statement is "i wouldnt even think of selling anything anymore, but yes, i sold it." wow. you outta be a politician

In the goal of moving to 24bit recording I am looking to sell these two
units, I would like $850 for the AD1000 and $450 for the AD500e. Both units
are in exceptional condition. The AD1000 has a custom wood box built around
it that can be easily removed. Email me for more details pictures etc. I am
also entertaining the idea of trades because I am selling these items to
pick up a compact laptop, hard disk space and a soundcard for my home
coputer. I am up for offers as well, Thanks for the space, John

Thanks for the help, but turns out that wasn't the problem. It was a tape
jam. So i took the lid off the deck and saw where the problem is, (the line
was hooked around something in the deck and wasn't releasing). I simply
moved the flywheel inside a bit to force the door open and the line let
loose. Perfect the tape is out :) So i put the lid back on, small problem
now, All my tapes are playing with tons of digi noise and the error meter is
off the wall. I have tried 5 dats that play perfectly in my M1 and played
perfectly before this jam with no luck. What's the problem now? Anyone know?
Is there something wrong with the heads? Could I have possibly moved
something I shouldn't have when I had it open? I don't want my deck to die
but at the same time I don't want to have to drop bags of money into it. Any
help is much appreciated.
btw, I did run a cleaning tape with no luck
Thanks,

It's a total of 6 tapes, all of them being Maxells except the Petty show on
KAO. All are good quality with the possible exception of the Petty, which
is a pretty mediocre recording. Sounds like it might have been from the
lawn at Sandstone. Anyway, if anybody wants some or all of these please get

I would also like to put in a good word for [AT]... I've known him personally (and his father) for a few years now, seeing him at various shows and going to a few together.. he's even taped one or two shows for me that i couldnt attend. and theres no way I believe that [AT] was aware of what was going on with the shows being sold... Just because he lived at home doesnt mean he had to be aware of what was going on.
He informed me of this issue when he first discovered it, and he was really disappointed... I'm disappointed to hear of what his father was doing, no doubt, but this will not stop me from trading with [AT] anymore.. [AT] will usually send me shows and never ask for anything in return, not even blanks.. many times he will send me shows before i even ask him for a copy... i cant blame anyone for being skeptical about trading with him now, and that is why i just wanted to put in a good word for him because i truly believe he had no idea that all this was going on.

I've heard a lot of people are asking for the Other Ones in alpine
valley
I have the whole concert from WXRT Chicago - except for the first minute
and last ten minutes.
It was recorded with a top of the line Sony DTC-ZA5 ES and a McIntosh
MR-75 Tuner
The levels for the signal quality were up to the maximum almost the
entire time!
Sounds so good - it's like it was recorded from the board at the WXRT
Studio
I can put it on CD or more DATs.

<Order: EQ, compression, normalize, then do pop reductions to the new mix.
<
<On another note, I think you should try to avoid EQ at all costs, unless the
<master is really bad.
Hm. EQ filters and compression may or may not help your recording, trust your
ears and check on *good* equipment! Normalization will almost alway be
wrong; you may need to correct some levels, which is basically the
same, but to normalize a whole show or set means to get all levels automagically
WRONG! Do not use any smart dumb button that says 'Normalize'! Ever!
As for pops and clicks: they obviously must be removed *before* you can
even think of things like 'normalizing' levels!!
(And the very 1st thing you may have to do is to check if your levels got
clipped as the clip restoration filter will only work on the
*unmodified* data. It only works for slight clipping, but when it does it is
nice..)
If 32-bit will help, depends on the strength of the filters you use;
for small cosmetic changes it isn't necessary but if you want to apply
bigger changes with EQ-filters, new dynamics or noise removal 32-bit would
help a lot, imo.
In general the golden rule is: the less you change the better the
results, and always keep a copy of your original!!!
Check out the syntrillium website; there used to be a good newsboard!

If you read the specs carefully, you'll notice the 'spdif in' is an
internal 2 pin connector only. This is commonly used for the connection
to your cdrom player for listening to audio cds. At the least you'd have
to hack together your own external connection, and even then I don't
know if it would work.

Anyone out there remember the show Pete & Pete that came on Nickelodeon a long time ago? The show opened with a song called "Hey Sandy" and a band called Polaris playing it. It's a great song, and while they never released anything, they gave away a cassette with two songs that came in a box of cereal as a promotion. Does anyone have that cassette or a really clean copy of that song? I found an MP3 version of it, but I'd love to have it right from the tape. If you can help, please e-mail me.

Hello all,
I am selling an Apogee ad500e that was purchased new by Sony Studios in
NYC, then purchased by my friend in 98'. The clock was replaced by Sony
before it was purchased by my friend. It has been used in a studio all
it's life, and never taken in the field so it is in great shape. It has
had many of the studio mods done to it, except for the jumper mod for a
Pro Sony deck and a DA-P1. I will include a copy of the manual with
instructions on how to do this, and I can help as well. Just the unit
and manual are included. SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE!! E-mail me if
interested.
