The only thing I ran my rig for was Jorma and it is pretty sweet but needs some love for the conversion and I think it will be OK. For Jorma there was a stereo mix and his side was way way louder than the girl's side. Anyone here want to convert and can clean this up drop me a line. I planned on taping more instead of patching but then I got high and then I got high and there was just so much going on you know? Also did anyone tape any of the Q&A on the small side stage? I am only interested in the stuff above or new Springsteen and can't do much more than that as I am about to move and man does it take along long time to move when you have a shitload of tapes..Also I lost my Sunday stub and would like to get one if anyone has an extra I have an extra Saturday stub..Thanks! Almost every ticket to every concert I have bought, has No Taping Allowed on the front of the ticket. Purchasing that ticket is an acceptance of terms the ticket is sold with. Many artists, I don't really care personally if you risk ejection to practice your obsession with, but there is one artist who I am bothered by seeing offers/requests for their new shows, ad that is Jorma Kaukonen. I personally am very happy for him and his new contract. Over the last 35 years or so, I feel Jorma has been one of the most overlooked talents in music. I guess from the early Airplane days to the early 70's, Jorma was recognized, and financially compensated fairly well by the industry. Since 75 or so he hasn't been recognized. When Rolling Stone magazine had an article with clips from 100 "guitar gods", John Fogerty was icluded and Jorma was left out. I do thnk RS has become a piece of shit, but that clenched it. I have many recordings from Jorma over the years. In the early 70's, Hot Tuna was one of 2 bands I saw the most, not including local bar bands. I have remained a devoted fan of his work over his career. My favorite NYE ever, was about 97 at the Fillmore with Hot Tuna. When Jorma and Blue Coutry hit Los Angeles, I was hapy to see him at McCabes Guitar shop, where he signed CD's and talked to those in attendance after the show. I was lucky in that I am disabled, and while a friend had gone for the vehicle, Jorma had signed all the CD's and I had a chance to talk to him for a few minutes. I have no interest in an stealth tapes of his tour, and have a fear that the amount of stealth taping being discussed may hurt his situation with Columbia. Other artists, like Springsten for instace, if you want to tape, I don't care, I won't be buying any of his music or attending any of his shows. I'm just truly happy for Jorma to be getting a contract at his age, and getting a chance to be a little beter recognised, an have some fears that the record company might not be to happy about stealth taping and take it out on him. It was recorded FOB with DPAs. There's some bits of wind and some crowd chatter, but is pretty listenable. It's on a DIC-DAT 60m DAT. In return, I'd like one sealed Sony or Maxell 60 or 90m DAT plus postage. First to respond after the Digest hits my mailbox gets it...unless you're willing to do B+P's for others, which I would give preference to (and then you wouldn't have to be 'first'), in which case please tell me how many B+P's for others you're willing to make...the highest # of B+P's offered will then get it. 'The contest' ends 48 hours after I get the Digest, and I will email back all who respond. Peace, -Dan- ------------------------------ From: "Curtis E. Laptop taping just isn't for me, I think it's an emotional thing, I like leaving the show with a tape, etc. in my hand, and as irrational as this sounds holding a Sony notebook just doesn't do it for me. I am selling (all seperatly) a Sony Picturebook with Clean windows 2k install, Quad battery pack for the Sony, DTC-790 Home DAT with instructions on to defeat SCMS on the unit, Crown SASS-P stereo PZM microphone, Edirol UA-5, UA-5 battery pack, iMac, 17" mic stand and other taping related equipment. The below link is a link to all the above auctions (you'll have to cut and paste it), on the pages is a link to some mp3 samples of the recordings I've done. I am considering purchasing Sound Professionals DELUXE AUDIO TECHNICA CARDIOID STEREO MICROPHONES which use Audio Technica AT831 capsules. Objective is to get a "fuller sounding" recording than I am currently getting with the Core Sounds set-up. Any comments on whether these mics would be an "upgrade" to the Core Sound mics would be appreciated. Specs on the former seem to be better and I was impressed with a demo mp3 I heard that were made with the Sound Professionals mics. ------------------------------ From: Doug Burkhardt Subject: FS DiO 2448 Digital I/O Card Date: Wed, 07 Aug 2002 19:11:54 -0700 Never been used.
