Hey now,
Tyvek is indeed one of the best ways to store CDR media (aside from a
jewel case). We've got Tyvek sleeves with or without flaps as well a paper
and plastic. Check them out here:

I agree with Tom completely. Usually when I trade I use Paper CD
envlopes, and if I B+P I use Tyvek envelopes. Yes, I am cheap when I
trade because the packaging I recieve is usually not aanything like what
I would do for myself. I have a copy of a study that shows Tyvek is
better for the suface of a CD-R disc than Paper r cloth, Tyvek is less
likely to scratch the surface. If someone wants to use some newspaper
or looseleaf paper to wrap up their CD's for a B+P, I'll burn them, but
if they don't burn or play right, it's not my problem, and I won't cover
for bad discs.
Now the sale offer. I have a supplier wh gets me god deals on Double
weight Tyvek CD envelpes with flaps and windows. I don't have any
without the flaps and windows. These CD envelpes weigh over twice as
much as standard Tyvek Envelopes, at over 1 pound per 100. I can pass
them along, brand new at $17 for 200, and ship then Fed Ex ground for
quantities of 400 or more. I only sell them in batches of 200, or
multiples of 200. I can give you a shipping quote, if you ae
interested.

Hi All-
I was at the allmans show two saturdays ago (8/10?) at the tweeter center in
mansfield and was totally blown away! The interplay between warren and derek
was absolutely mind-blowing stuff, not to mention the mountain jam encore, holy
shit! Anyways i saw a handful of tapers there taping from their seats and would
love to get a copy, preferably on DAT from someone who taped DFC, and even FOB
if possible. have much to trade email for list
BWT: one show on CDR to the first that replies off my list

I'm trying to clone a DAT using my computer. I play out on my D100,
through a Sony TOSlink cable to a Delta DIO 2496 card in a Win2k box
running Cool Edit 2000. This has always worked no problem for creating
a WAV file and preparing for CD transfer. However problems arise when
trying to pipe that signal back out the SPDIF out to the D100.
Theoretically, the Delta Control Panel Patchbay/Router tab should have
H/W Out settings set for WavOut S/PDIF. This doesn't send an audio
signal out the S/PDIF cable, but it does send a signal of sorts because
the recording balks with Copy Prohibit warnings when I toggle the SCMS
radio button.
I can get an audio signal out the S/PDIF when I set the H/W Out for
Monitor Mixer, but this has a couple problems, primarily because
although the Mixer is only supposed to attenuate the signal it feeds
back if I max out all the sliders, and an extension of that problem is
the signal sounds different when processed by the Monitor Mixer (in this
specific example).
Also, at one point Cool Edit asked to create a DAT Header file. Would
this have something to do with my failure to clone? Does this also mean
track ID info was preserved?
TIA

I put the card in my Mac and opened the Delta Panel - there's a pulldown
menu for default hardware out - when I set it for S/PDIF it works like a
charm. So the question is how to emulate that in windows. I tried the
Sounds and Multimedia Control Panel and set the playback device for S/PDIF,
but I guess that would have been too easy ...

I'd still like to know the purpose of the DAT Header file if anyone knows.
