I used a pair of 1.2 Ah 12V gel cells charged in parallel and run in series. Those would run the MV100 for about 15 hours when driving phantom power (KM184s) and 22 hours when not (CM300s). Actually, I never got to the bottom with phantom power turned off because I never went to a festival that long. Of course, you can use larger cells in exchange for carrying more lead in your bag.
Wire the two cells to a 4-pin connector. Then make a series harness to power the MV100 at 24V DC 1.2Ah capacity. Make a parallel harness to use for charging at 12V 2.4Ah capacity. Charge each cell discreetly the first time before wiring them in parallel. The cells should discharge equally from then on.
I ran like this for about 5 years. I spent $50 for all the parts but I had a 12V charger already and I didn't use a circuit breaker, which in retrospect was stupid. I bought 9V batteries only as a back-up and usually ended up giving them away at a show.

I'd like to know if anybody is routinely stealthing something as big and
power hungry as a Lunatec V3. How do you do it? How do you power it?

Sorry for the extreme late notice but 2 bands are playing in Santa Monica
that are EXTREMELY taper friendly. I am hoping that someone out there will
get to this bar/club and tape both bands. Here is the info:
Date: Saturday, 10/19/02
Place: 14 Below (Corner of 14th and Santa Monica)
Who:
Hell Ride
Stephen Perkins (Janes Addiction, Porno For Pyros)
Mike Watt (fIREHOSE, Minutemen)
Peter DiStefano (Porno For Pyros)
and
clayhenry
Randy Morris (Grass Roots Willie, milkweed)
Jason Cockburn (Daddy's Pants)
Jon Mesh (Grass Roots Willie, milkweed)
I know Stephen is ALWAYS taper friendly. clayhenry allows AUDIO and VIDEO.
Board Patches are venue-dependant usually. Any problems ask for Randy from
clayhenry he should help you out.
If anyone is fortunate to tape these two bands please contact me as I would
love copies of both bands.
David

Subject: 90m DAT tapes question
Date: 18 Oct 2002 14:01:07 -0700
What brand/model of 90m DAT tapes does someone recommend? Traditionally
I use 60m tapes, but at times I don't like to worry about a flip
and prefer to capture it all on one 90m.
Can someone recommend a good brand and which specific tape to
use under that preferred brand? Currently I use Sony DG90P when
I tape on 90s. I have had pretty good luck with them and wondered
if I should keep using them or change to a different brand.
Thanks,
Jeff

I have a Sony DTX-10 in Dash DAT for sale. I also have a 10 Disk Changer
that goes with it. Probably could use a cleaning/alignment, it's been over
a year since I last sent it to ProDigital for service. Send me an e-mail if
interested in making me an offer. michael@weill.net

Hi there,
did anyone tape the 90 minutes Springsteen from the Barcelona show off MTV
Europe last thursday night??I hope someone did os.. No commercial breaks
during the entire broadcsast, airing most of the new album and ending the
90minutes with a fine, incredible version of "Dancing in the Dark" ...
Unfortunately I didn't tape it since I'm with my parents at the moment and I
left my recorders at home...
Still have my 9 uncirculated MSG 2000 shows for trade among hundred of other
Springsteen shows..
Best from Munich, Germany
