Why are there so many people selling this unit right after buying it? Are
people buying it, comparing it to something else (say the AD2k) and not
liking it? It just seems odd to see so many for sale used only a few months
after the initial release.

Is there a software program out there that I can run under Linux, that has
the same basic DAT>WAV functionality of Soundforge, Cool Edit etc...
I use features such as normalization, compression, limiters, cut/boost
filters.
I'm going to take the leap one way or the other, and would like to not have
to switch OS's to transfer DAT's.
Peace,
Zach

Local DirecTV is screening several programs of Brazilian music, original
recorded "unplugged" by MTV here.
So I'm taking the chance to record them in DAT, with my D8, for making my
own CD-Rs later on.
My idea is to copy them digitally afterwards, but I still don't have any
digital board on my PC to do that.
Any recommendations?

Purchased new 10 months ago, modified line stage in January and coax
modification as well. All original papers, wall wart, carrying
case, and box are included. Will include an 6v Eco Charge battery,
power cable, and charger as well. $800 OBO gets it all, and I would
prefer not to break it up.
thanks,

On the 30th Aniversary of my 1st (or 2nd) audience recording, I am
offering 5 copies on CDR. The quality is not great. I used a SONY TC126
with the stereo F-99S microphone that it came with. One track from my
recording was included in the Grow Fins box set on Revenant (disc 5
track 10 - One Red Rose That I Mean).
I would like this set to get out there, so only write if you are going
to weed it back again.
Please use the same subject line as this post.
Thanks,
Grape

Hey, I'm selling my mics for some extra spending cash on my trip to Boston
next month, and I haven't used them for awhile so I'd like to put them into
better hands where they'll get more use. They're great mics still in
perfect condition, and are perfect for stealthing shows. I can send you
sample clips if you'd like to hear how they sound. Email me at
drew-hintze@uiowa.edu if you're interested. I'm asking to get about
$350-400 or best offer, just give me a holler and let me know and we can
discuss. I also have a mini disc I'd like to get rid of too, so if you'd
like to setup a package taping deal or something we can do that. Thanks,
Drew
