Option 1: Mic in with Core Sound Attenuator Cable, thereby enabling the bass filter Option 2: Line In Trying to avoid overload problems and/or bass distortion, being that close. Any advice? Mike
From: gottajiboo40@mac.com Subject: FS: B&K matched set of ADK TL's Date: Mon, 28 Oct 2002 19:08:30 -0500 Hello gang, I am selling my B&K matched set of ADK TL's. They are excellent large diaphragm mics with switchable polar patterns of card, hyper, omni and figure eight. They come with shockmounts, windscreens, padded leather bags for each individual mic and an aluminum flight case. These cost a little over $1000 brand new 2 months ago, and I would like to get $800 for them. I can IM you an .SHN made with the mics. Thanks! -Jason B

From: "Mike BB" <mike@oongowa.com> Subject: protective foam for a suitcase...? Date: Mon, 28 Oct 2002 20:04:00 -0500 A friend of mine gave me a neat-o aluminum suitcase that I'd like to carry my gear around in. I'm trying to find some dense foam that I can cut up to fit all my stuff but I'm having a hard time finding a place to order any. I only need a couple 1.5" thick pieces about the size of a suitcase. Where can I get this stuff? Mike
From: "Paul-Peter Polak" <pp.polak@tiscali.nl> Subject: RE: ISO Teac DA-P20 Owner's Manual Reply-To: <pp.polak@tiscali.nl> Date: Tue, 29 Oct 2002 09:01:14 +0100 Hi Karl, I have got the DA-P20's owner's manual. The english part takes 40 pages which I am willing to scan and send as a .pdf file. Let me know if your friend is interested. Cheers, Paul-Peter
From: "Gary Davis" <gdavisloop@earthlink.net> Subject: Neil Young BBC 1970 SVCD Reply-to: gdavisloop@earthlink.net Date: Tue, 29 Oct 2002 00:38:18 -0800 I've made an SVCD (Super Video CD) of Neil Young's classic 1970 performance at the BBC, courtesy Trio network (315 on DirecTV). The performance runs 32 mins and I found it notable for several things: Neil doesn't know (or hasn't yet written) some of the lyrics to "Out on the Weekend"; an amazing version of "A Man Needs a Maid"; an explanation of "Old Man"; and an audience that is simply mesmerised. SVCDs will play on most Chinese DVD players; ie, players that play MP3's from CDRs. They won't play on most Japanese DVD players. The disc also includes auto-run software to play on most Windows PC's 600 MHz or faster. If you're interested in a trade or a tree, please write me and include the words "Neil Young" in the subject, and if you can copy SVCDs (EZCDcreator or Nero), please put the word "Branch" in your subject if this becomes a tree or mini-tree. And if you have a highly wonderful Neil Young to trade (aren't they all?), it couldn't hurt to mention that in the message. --Gary
From: "Gary Davis" <gdavisloop@earthlink.net> Subject: Phish Lemonwheel Tree - anyone? Reply-to: gdavisloop@earthlink.net Date: Tue, 29 Oct 2002 00:44:56 -0800 Several years back, I made a wonderfully remastered version from FOB recordings of the Phish Lemonwheel, but I didn't quite launch the tree - so I'm trying again - for something exciting to do on the countdown to New Years. If we relied on me as administrator or top branch, this tree will never get done, so I am seeking a person willing to be administrator or top branch or both. The tree is an 11-disc set (2 days/5 discs each/plus a soundcheck disc). I also have the entire thing on a single MP3 disc. People will be able to sign up for either or both versions. To my ears, the MP3 version sounds the same and can be copied in 1/11th the time with a better guarantee that the copy is identical - but - of course there's a lot to be said for PCM data on 74 minute CDs ;-) Please write if interested in administering or being the top branch. Sorry, I cannot entertain requests for individual trades of the 11- disc version. I'll consider trade offers for the one-disc MP3 version ;-) thank you, --Gary
From: Jeff Chard <jachard@adelphia.net> Subject: Wanted: Bruce Hornsby Albany 9/29 Date: Tue, 29 Oct 2002 07:50:35 -0500 I know there were plenty of tapers at the Egg in Albany last month. Unfortunately, with the two trades I set up, the tapes were flawed. If anyone has a nice recording, please let me know and I'll send my list right away. Thanks much, Jeff Chard
From: "American-Digital" <heath@am-dig.com> Subject: RE: D-8 Cable Date: Tue, 29 Oct 2002 09:22:20 -0500 Carlos, (and all) I believe the RK-DA10 is unidirectional. If I remember correctly, you cannot use a RKDA10 with a PCM-M1 or D-100 due to operating voltages. You would need to use a RK-DA10P. I hope this helps. From: Jeff Anderson <janderson@nustats.com> Subject: *Austin* Harvest Moon Fest Update (just around the corner) Date: Tue, 29 Oct 2002 11:30:02 -0600 Please forward this information to anyone or any list who may be interested, thank you. Hello to all, bluefish here give you guys an update on Harvest Moon Fest at the Well. Things are really coming together for the first annual event to be held in Wimberley. We spent this weekend out at the well making an event map and making final decisions on the layout of the fest. Every time we go out there we get more and more excited about what is to come on November 9th. The response from you guys has been great too, and we have addressed several of your concerns. Here are a few points to keep mind as we draw nearer to the fest, but as always the website will be your most up-to-date location for information: http://www.bluefishent.com 1. Preservation of the well landscape 2. Food Options 3. Campfires 4. Carpool 5. No dogs 6. Posters 7. Rain or shine 8. Lodging options 9. Craft Vendors 10 TICKET INFO PLEASE READ>>> 11. ATM's 12. BYOB 13. Its gonna be a blast 14. More Bands added 1. The most important thing to remember is to help preserve the well. This concert has been set up to benefit the Jacob's Well foundation to educate the public on the history and importance of the well, as well as preserve it. So take only pictures and leave only footprints. Please don't litter and if you see litter, pick it up, there will be over 32 trash barrels on site so please make use of them. Smokers, please dispose of your butts properly, this was issue number 1 for residents of the well. We will need everyone's help on this. This will be a deciding factor on whether or not we will be allowed back. 2. Food Vendors are set to go, La Botanitas will be serving up Tex-Mex and Old Fashioned BBQ will be serving up Brisket and Pork Loin Sandwiches. And in the morning, we will have breakfast tacos served up by Wimberley's own Mama Nina's. 3. There will be three designated campfires on site, no other fires will be allowed nor will grills. 4. Parking will be an issue so please carpool and plan to get out there early. Gates will open at 10am music will start at 1pm sharp. 5. Please leave the dogs at home, we love them as much as you do, but none will be permitted on the grounds, http://www.dogcamp.net/html/index2.htm Dog Camp is a very friendly kennel close to the fest, and we are trying to coordinate a special rate for festival goers. 6. Limited edition posters are available right now on the website. These are individually signed and numbered on glossy card stock, email us for more information. 7. While we are all hoping for a beautiful hill country night, the elements may play a factor. Have no fear, we have secured a local dance hall just down the road to move the show to if such a case should arrive. 8. For those of you not camping there has been a link to HillCountryVisitor.com added to the site. Please do not head back to Austin after the show there are a number of great B and B's and Inns that will give you a great place to stay. Besides if you haven't spent any time in the artist community of Wimberley, we highly suggest it. Wimberley is full of artisan shops and restaurants that would make a great Sunday afternoon day. 9. We still have spaces open for craft vendors, if you or someone you know are interested in having a table at Jacob's Well please contact us through the website to inquire. 10. Tickets have arrived and will be mailed out this weekend. If your mailing address is different from your billing address for your credit card please contact asap through the website and we will hold your tickets at the gate. We have printed special edition tickets secured with a hologram for a keepsake of the event. Online Ticket sales will end on Friday November 1st at 11pm. Some of you have asked for another option in purchasing tickets and we have placed tickets at Jupiter Records in Austin, Red River and 45th in the Hancock Shopping Plaza next to HEB. In San Marcos, go to Sundance Records at 202-B University Drive. Tickets can be purchased for cash only at these outlets. Tix at the gate will go up to $28 so if you want the discounted tix don't wait until the last minute. 11. ATM's will not be on the grounds, so please come prepared, you will be allowed to come and go as you please with your wristband, but to save you the trouble of a trip into town come prepared. You should bring enough money to buy a ticket if you haven't already, a meal or two, plus T-shirts and anything you might want from the craft vendors. 12. BYOB, Please be responsible, this festival will go well in to the night so moderate yourselves, be sure you get plenty of water to drink as well, and eat something. Just Be Smart. 13. We are very excited to be working on this festival, we are going above and beyond to ensure an unforgettable event. This will be much more than a typical music festival because we love the music too and we're adding all sorts of surprises to ensure a good time will be had by all. If you guys have any other questions please contact us through the website... Take care, we'll see you soon: http://www.bluefishent.com 14. The following bands have been added to the lineup for the festival and will be performing on the second stage: Shoal Creek Mudstompers, Alive & Well, Jon Micheal & Friends, There will also be Fire Dancers for late night.
