Hi Everyone
I'm looking to do a little trading for the following shows:
*Led Zeppelin - Olympic Studios 1968-69
*Led Zeppelin - Osaka, Japan 9-29-71
*Led Zeppelin - Knebworth 1979 (video if possible)
*Led Zeppelin - Seattle 1977 (video if possible)
*Jeff Beck and Carlos Santana - video of them jamming together, venue unknown.
*Jeff Beck with Stevie Ray Vaughan - In Toronto, I think. I'm not sure of the
date but it's supposedly a killer video.
*UFO - Chicago 3-16-80 Supposedly a great soundboard
*AC/DC - Holland 6-23-78
*Muddy Waters - Anything out there? I saw a video snip of Muddy and The
Rolling Stones on TV. Somewhere out there must be a whole show. I'd love to
have a dub of it.
I've got a fair size list of trades on DAT, CDR. and a few VHS. Drop me a
note if you have any of the above shows and you're interested in trading.
Sincerely, Terry MacD

The original post wasn't about "recordings" it was perfect clones from
DAT to hard drive via USB. But you know the difference, right?

Who says and why? In late 2002 is it unreasonable to expect
a perfect clone from my software and hardware with respect
to my digital recordings?

True, but why should I trust my ears to yours? What if your
tolerance to ambient shit is far lower than mine? Who's to say
that what you accept as "perfect", I accept as garbage?

You can say that but then say...

Huh? What the hell are you talking about?

No Keith, the bottom line is: Is this a clone or not? That's digital.
That's implicit in the technology and if you don't understand that,
then shut up. I want clones, not "pretty close".
Once again, thanks for letting us know where you stand.

Lookin for used mic-pre, preferably a V2, MP2 or PSP3. As many AD1000 users
are not satisfied with the built-in preamp (but I love the AD coverter), nor
am I!

Looking to get face + tm fees = $85 plus shipping.
Would prefer to sell to someone with a rig. I was
supposed to go with another taper to run my rig, so my
friend will help get the rig in and run it, block,
etc. at the show since I'll be out of town.

Subject: recording gear for sale
Date: Tue, 03 Dec 2002 12:25:16 -0800
Been quite a while since I've posted to this list...haven't done much
recording lately (actually, almost none in the past year and a half), and as
a result I think it's time to sell some of my gear. Please email me if you
are interested in any of these items.
Pair of Neumann KM-184's, excellent condition (still have the original boxes
for shipping purposes even), I am missing one of the original windscreens
(fell out of my bag on my way out of a show once), but I do have a pair of
suitable replacements that I have been using with excellent results (IMHO,
they work even better than the originals). Also will include a 15 foot pair
of Monster Cable XLR cables (forgot what type they are, but I had originally
gotten them new from a friend who was a Monster Cable rep, who said they
cost ~$200 if you bought them at a store. Not sure if that's true or not,
but they do sound really sweet.) Asking $1000 for the set.
Panasonic SV3800, excellent condition. Don't remember exact number of hours
on the deck, do know that I've had the heads replaced twice, and that there
are very low hours (less than 100) on the current heads. Error counts are
typically low. Asking $500.
Presonus MP20 2-channel Preamp, excellent condition. This is a 1U
rack-mount preamp, used more in the home studio environment, although I used
it at shows (powered by a portable power supply, more on that below).
Fantastic sound, the preamps can really be pushed hard to give an extremely
warm sound, or you can back off a bit and get a clean sound. Asking $350.
Eco-Charge custom power supply. About 5 years ago I asked Eco-Charge to
build me a power supply to provide AC power to my Mackie 1202 mixer at shows
(since no one gives you AC at shows and/or you aren't close enough to a
power outlet anyway). What they built me was a DC-AC inverter that takes
power from two 12V 7.2Ah batteries, all packaged in a pelican case with a
three-prong AC outlet on the side and an on/off switch with green LED.
About 2 years ago I replaced the batteries with a fresh set, which haven't
had that many hours of use on them since. Comes with a charger for the
batteries. The entire unit is in excellent condition, save for one of the
pelican case latches, where the pin fell out and so I have the latch but
it's not held in by a pin (the other latch is fine, and serves to keep the
case shut tight even if the other latch isn't there). This is a really neat
piece, the uses are endless (I think the specs I got from Eco-Charge was
that it was designed to run a 25W piece of gear for at least 8 hours, since
most gear consumes less power than that, it will run for even longer).
Asking $500.
All of my gear is in excellent condition, I have taken very good care of my
stuff over the years. Sadly, I'm just not able to attend shows like I used
to, and I'd rather see the gear get used than to just collect dust in my
closet (and the extra dollars aren't so bad, either). Please email me
regarding any of this gear, either at foxb11@hotmail.com, or at
bfox@capstoneturbine.com . First come first served. Will ship anywhere in
the US (COD). I live in the LA area and so if you are relatively local, we
can meet somewhere and save shipping costs.
Thanks,
Bryan

The tapers are probably on this group, but basically if anyone could help me get a
copy of the SHN files for this show (either a snail mail trade, b&p, online swap
using direct connect, FTP, furthur, whatever...), I would be thrilled. A relative was at
the concert, and it would make a great Christmas gift.

I'm done with taping and would like to pass this portable along to someone.
Runs great. Has new heads and motor which were replaced about a year ago.
Hardly used since then. I also have a Pro Digital 7 pin to coax in/out digi
cable I would like to sell with the deck.
Sony TCD-D8=$400 + 7 pin coax I/O cable=$100 ==== $500 OBO.
Thanks!
