Thanks, Dave ------------------------------ From: Keith Bode Subject: Radiator's Stowe B+P + info please Date: Mon, 09 Dec 2002 17:02:07 -0800 Thanks to the generous individual who did the Radiator's at Stowe, VT, I think B+P. I'd happily passit on to a few who'd like t get a CD-R B+P of the show. Preference given t those who will continue to offer it up. Also, if whoever I got this nice show from had an info file, I'd appreciate they could forward this info on to me. Keith ------------------------------ From: "J. Steven Svoboda" Subject: Sony v. Lacie DVD Burners Date: Tue, 10 Dec 2002 11:03:02 +1000 In early October I ordered the following DVD drive frm Dell: SONY CORPORATION 2.4X/2.4X DVD+R/RW / 4X/2X DVD-R/RW / 8X DVD-ROM DRU500A Dual DVD = Burner & CD-RW Drive Qty:=20 Due to some fantastic incompetence it still hasn't been sent to me. Now = I have the option of substituting for no additional charge a Lacie = burner they say is the same description and more money, or else = cancelling the order? Should I consent to the Lacie, or look elsewhere = for the best DVD burner deal? I only paid $250 for the elusive Sony (and = that's what they would charge me for the Lacie). Thanks! She was at this show and I would like to track this down if it's out there anywhere. As a consolation, I will take any show from the tour. Thanks... Give Leonard a call or e-mail and he'll set you up. There is a pretty good chance that I will get a stand into this event. I want to give my extra ticket to a taper with a high end rig that would be interested in using the stand (as opposed to putting my dsms up there). If you are interested please contact me at Halteh3@Rogers.com with the rig you use. Date: Tue, 10 Dec 2002 18:51:06 +0100 hi folks! i'm fairly new to this group and also new to dat's and taping and all that... (but always eager to learn more about all that!) I have a sony tcd d100 which I wanted to connect to the soundcard (audigy platinum and pinnacle turtlebeach, I'm using both) via sp/dif coaxial for transferring my tapes to computer, but sony does not sell any cables for that purpose. I learned there are third party suppliers for these cables, so here's my question: CoreSound's 7pin-to-coax-cable, will that be what I need? what's the general opinion about it? is it any good? or what/where should I rather buy? (I live in Germany so overseas shipping and creditcard payment is a must) take care Kirsten ------------------------------ From: Geoff Lynch Subject: ISO: Peter Gabriel from this tour Date: Tue, 10 Dec 2002 10:38:27 -0700 Looking for Denver or any other show from this tour. Thanks, Geoff ------------------------------ From: JBABC0CK@aol.com Subject: ISO YES tapes/tapers from the Fall 2002 tour. Date: Tue, 10 Dec 2002 17:11:53 -0500 Hey Heads. Ready for the usual Christmas madness? I'm posting looking for any sweet tapes culled from the recent fall tour. This one came at a bad time and the usual 4 or 5 tapers that travel and get most of the shows were not able to do so. As a result there are really only about 1/3 of them have surfaced. Especially seeking a Tape of the Chicago 11/21/02, which included the only rarity of the tour. Lots to trade, drop a line if you can. While I'm on the subject there are a few difficult-to-find Yes tapes that have yet to make it out. Maybe someone here can help? Yes: 07/07/00 Polaris Amphitheater, Columbus OH Yes: 07/27/00 Alltel Pavilion, Raleigh, NC I just can't believe these were not caught on tape. Yes: 07/25/00 Virginia Beach This was probably the best show of the "Masterworks" tour and one of the "old school" members of the taping community caught the show in great quality, but had mic. connection problems in the opening couple of songs. Scoured the planet for 2 years and haven't found an alternate tape yet! Yessymphonic: Jones Beach 9/7/01 This was one of the windiest nights at the beach and my tape was spoilt by that and the girl next to me screaming at every chance she could get. The only other tapes to surface from that date, which I'm still insisting was the best show of the tour, is about the worst minidisc recording you have ever heard. Looking for a sweet tape from right up front where the wind don't blow. Yes: Radio City Music Hall 8/5/02 This night had the *largest* amount of non-taper friendly drunks i have ever seen at *any* show ever. WORST tape I have ever made, due to the screaming, drooling fans. Even the band seemed afraid of them. However Wakeman played the unamplified house organ that night, so I'm looking for a tape from down near the front, hopefully left side of the hall. Finding these shows should be like shooting fish in a barrel compared to the tapes i am usually hunting down. For example: Yes: 04/05/73 The Los Angeles Forum, Los Angeles CA Yes: 11/20-24/73 Rainbow Theatre, London Yes: 02/11/74 Alexander Memorial Coliseum, Atlanta GA Yes: 03/03/74 Cincinnati Gardens, Cincinnati, OH Yes: 11/13/74 Dane County Memorial Coliseum, Madison WI Yes: 05/30/76 Charleston Civic Center Coliseum, Charleston WV Yes: 05/31/76 Freedom Hall Civic Center, Johnson City TN Yes: 07/23/76 Seattle Center Coliseum, Seattle WA Yes: 07/30/77 Toledo Sports Arena, Toledo OH Yes: 08/28/78 Rochester Auditorium, Rochester NY Yes: 04/21/79 Olympia Stadium, Detroit MI Now when you see a Want-List like that, doesn't it make all your tape-acquiring goals seem reasonable and within reach? It ceratinly makes a request for the recent Chicago show seem easy enough. Hope you are all within budget this year. Thanks for listening, (and of course any help you can all be will be greatly rewarded!) jb ------------------------------ ** FOR YOUR REFERENCE ** To unsubscribe from this digest, please send email to dat-heads-unsubscribe@datheads.phish.net If your email address has changed, you may (optionally) send the message to dat-heads-unsubscribe-oldaddress=olddomain@datheads.phish.net and the old address will be removed.
