Helllo again...
i've been looking at my mass of cd's starting to collect dust...quite
disheartening...so to help with this problem, i'm wondering if someone has a
similar situation who would like to swap some tunes.
I have a spindle of about 45 or so discs, all archived .shns w/info files
and md5's.
i've compiled a list of what they are that i can send to you if you're
interested.
please be in touch...happy holidays.

This is the first time in 10 years that I have ever been shut out.
I can offer clones from my masters, face value for the tix and shipping
costs.
Please contact me, if you can help!!
Thanx!

Im curious if anyone who has purchased those Who 2002 Encore CDs can firmly
say if any specific performance is a standout. I'd like to buy a couple of
these CDs- and note the key word here: couple!
When Pearl Jam released all those CDs of their tour, there was a select group
that rose to the top and that was plenty for my consumption. I'd like to do
the same here again. Thanks in advance.

Subject: What's wrong with this mic?
Date: Fri, 13 Dec 2002 10:24:29 -0500
A pair of used mics - the Oktavas I just posted about - with an 'issue'.
One channel shows very low levels, but only intermittently. Sometimes,
screwing with the XLR/mic combo will make this issue disappear, often for
a whole show. Alternately, one can just max the preamp gain on the low
channel, and get a clean recording, although running the gains with a 40
db difference between channels hardly seems like a reasonable solution to
anything. Plus, if the 'intermittent' problem clears up for a few
minutes, the recording is thusly blown.
The question: Is there any way to determine if the capsule is 'bad', or
if it's the body?
Just wondering -

Subject: Sony DAT repair

Can anyone suggest a good repair center for Sony DATs? My D-100 needs
some work and they closed the Sony service center here in Dallas. I
emailed Oades, and Doug says he only repairs products they sell now
(they did a great job on an old Panasonic SV-3200 I used to own). Any
suggestions appreciated.
