The drops you explain seem similar to what I've seen with the co2, it just
sometimes gives random drops for no apparent reason. Its better suited as a
'toy' than a 'tool' to be relied upon. I've tested 4 co2's, they all do this
on occasion.
Does the ad500 not have an optical out like the ad1000?
whats wrong with simply chaining the d100 and d8 (assuming you had another
7pin>coax available)

A friend of mine who lives down in Hampton is getting desperate. Usually I
don't bring ticket searching to this group, but I figured it was worth a
shot. I feel really bad that I'm coming down to her local venue for 3 crazy
nights, and she hasn't found a ticket to any of the shows.
I can offer cash or Vegas tickets for any extra Hampton(s) you might have.
(I can also probably get LA tickets if that would work for you).
Thanks,
Jeff

I have two tickets for the 3rd night of Hampton, am looking for tapers
tickets for either the Spectrum or Jersey show, although would consider
trade for floor seats either night. Drop me a line if you are interested.

Hi,
Jeff isn't the only one, but I wanted to mention at this
juncture where the list ended after prior ticket posts and the
response traffic generated in response.
- If the ticket is related to taping, post here as a last resort.
If not it's not for DAT-heads.
- Just because you have a favorate band does not mean you should
assume that everyone knows what that is, this is a technology and
not a trading list. I can guess who you might mean, but include
the name of the band, please.
- One off-topic ticket post doesn't deserve 40 on-list flames...
lets be patient, or at least set them on fire using your own
bandwidth
Got that folks? Less ticket posts and keep the counter posts to
a minimum.

I've switched to a soft sided camera bag for all my gear and I'd rather sell
the case here than put it on eBay. It's in perfect condition. It's
watertight, dustproof, crushproof, comes lined with foam for total equipment
protection. It features include atmospheric pressure purge valve. The
dimesions are 12" L x 9 1/16" W x 5 3/16" D
The foam is "pick and pluck" so you can adjust the foam to fit all your gear
snuggly if you prefer. The following links can show you more:

I paid $83 but I'm willing to accept any reasonable offer considering buyer
pays shipping.

In addition to being pretty noticeable from all over the venue, the
backlight will, at 0 attenuation-setting, introduce a nasty hum on your
recording. This won't happen at the (-)20 setting, though you'll still be
seen by security.

I got busted by security at the Oakland show on Saturday, so if anyone has
any '02 Peter Gabriel (especially Oakland or San Jose) I would love to trade
for some good sounding shows.
Thanks,
Mark

Some people, myself included, have had problems with the faint whine of
the backlight showing up on tapes, especially during quieter passages,
but apparently this is not common to all of these decks. Just try it and
see; it should be very obvious if there's a problem.
One person on the list (I've forgotten who now) conjectured that this
indicated a fault in the unit that should be covered by warranty, but
mine was up before I realized the source of the noise on my tapes, so
I've never bothered to have it checked. I just avoid using the backlight
while recording (I carry a tiny flashlight instead).

Anyone know of a Neumann dealer that has a pair of LC-3 cables in stock this
week? Or does anyone possibly have a used/demo pair they want to sell? Put
off the purchase for too long, and now I need some by next week.

the manual that comes with the D100 and M1 specifially says not to turn on
or off the backlight when recording or noise *could* occur.

I remember reading about all the excited tapers planning on recording
this concert back in October 2002, but after the show I didn't see many
(any?) offers of it on the list. I probably just missed them. Bummer.
I am interested in trading for HQ DAT recordings of this show. I would
settle for CD if that is all that I can find. Please email me. I have
a large list for trade.

Hey folks,
I don't have a need for 3 home decks anymore so I would like to sell
this one. It is excellent shape and was just serviced by Pro-Digital and
given a clean bill of health and hasn't been used since it was serviced.
Please e-mail me privately if interested and make an offer. Thanks.

hi,
i ended up taping francis dunnery at the mercury lounge last nite. for
some reason i'll try to figure out later, about the last 10 minutes are
gone, no recording. still , it was a nice set and sounds real good. next to
no crowd noise. i think i saw one other person taping, are you out there?
in any case, if any one wants it , let me know.
disclaimer: my trading rules are i have no rules.i like to give and get
music. the recordings may have misplaced bits and bytes, the mics are
stealth, not on your favorite stand. the media may not be of your choice,
you may not like recycled cardboard packaging. they are however, very nice
sounding representations of artists i enjoy who's performances may have
otherwise gone up in smoke. when i get recordings in trade, i assume the
people send me the best that they had. i never critique them, i say thank
you and thats that. if i dont care for them, no big deal. maybe at least
they are hopefully enjoying mine.
