Since there are a limited number of tickets available for a concert, the
rules of economics are stilted. Due to a limited supply there needs to be a
regulating force to allow the general public a chance to participate in the
market.

I have two NYE TOO tix. I've tried to sell them on rec.music.gdead but those who responded flaked out. I've decided to reduce the price big-time to move them. I can't make it out to Oakland because my fianci and I are saving money for our wedding. Anyway, Ruby at GDTS has agreed to hold the tickets at will call for whoever buys them from me. I'd like someone who's willing to use Paypal (it's free to sign up) or overnight mail, however. $100 buys you TWO tickets! That's $62 OFF what you'd pay otherwise! I will cc you on Ruby's correspondence with me and her response (so you'll know she has the tickets under your name). I'm sure people around here can vouch for my trustworthiness. Anyway, e-mail SUPER-QUICK if you're seriously interested! You can use this address or k-kleber *AT* att.net. Thanks!

im transfering a stack of dats via dat2wav, ver 1.2& i came across
some w/out Atime, Ptime or Rtime, & it appears dat2. registers it as a
constant error hanging on 00:00:00:00 & not dumpin.
out of curiosity i ran it thru the vdat demo & it was able to dump the
2 min. so aparrently its possibly to do it w/out times.
so, any ideas or suggestions, is it possible to write times to a tape
after the fact? is there a way to force it to dump? or are there any vdat
people up for swappin programs?
thanks for yer time

I've seen Guitar Shorty on numerous occasions. As far as I know, he
does not allow taping. Leave the rig home, and enjoy the show. He
usually plays a killer "Hey Joe".

Thanks for the e-mail calling me a scalper. I enjoyed the ignorant
e-mail. I tried it once, and lost my ass. I did make about $30 getting
a guy tickets on ebay for a Clapton show, where I had to sit at the
computer, at a specific time, and pay more than retail to get him his
tickets. I told him about how much it would cost, and the ticket
lcations before hand. He said go gor it. Other than that, I have made
money on ne set of tickets I put up on eBay for $20 less than I paid. I
put no buy it now, because at the time, those tickets were not getting
face value. Ove the course f the week things changed and i maybe made
$20, less the listing fees for running the add 4 times. I have probably
lost money on tickets people said they wanted about 8 times. I
certainly got rich. There is a 9 year old truck I drive. Yep, I am the
villian. To see what scum I am go to eBay and check out the auctions
for LBDeals. Most of my auctions are selling decorations for homes for
30% to 75% off of retail. I have no tickets for sale. I haven't since
june, when I did have some extra's I lost money on.

Some decks have that capability; I think the Panasonic sv3x00 series
does.
It's easier (and safer) just to clone the dat.

if you think it's ridiculous to pay hundreds of
dollars for tickets than don't do it. i wouldn't. but
don't push your BS "morality" on others. it's tedious
and irrelevant. i know plenty of folks who'd rather
sell a ticket on ebay than *give* it to someone at the
venue with no money and his finger in the air.
besides, ebay isn't letting anyone do anything illegal
(if that's your moral acid test ... and if so, it's
time to re-evaluate). there are very convoluted laws
regarding ticket sales, and as long as they're
followed, you can easily and legally spend WAY MORE
than face for a ticket, regardless of what it's for.
all kieth was saying is that value is relative, and
isn't necessarliy printed on the corner of a piece of
cardboard. to a homeless person, a dollar is another
day of life. to the vast majority of us, it's a twenty
minute phone call ...
hmmm, i think i'll just let this huge monopoly determine the value of the
ticket that's IN MY HAND. please ...

I recently received a couple of shows on a trade that were incomplete, but
very good! Being the anal retentive completest archivist that I am, I would
like to find the rest of these shows.
1) Warren Haynes, 11-14-91 The Wetlands, w/ John Poppern Chandler Kinchla &
Sam Butler. SBD
2) Dave Matthews Band, 3-18-93 The Wetlands, w/ Doug Wannamaker on organ SBD
3) Johnny Neel, 4-25-92 The Wetlands, w/ Warren Haynes SBD
4)John Lee Hooker, 6-12-92 Merriweather Post Pavilion, w/ The Nighthawks SBD
(I think that all I need on this is The Nighthawks Set)
I have thousands of High Quality shows to offer in return!
