Info below: Mark Lynn Camper Van Beethoven Star Hill, Charlottesville, VA 1/9/03 4011s->V2->AD2K->M1 ------------------------------ From: "DRider" Subject: Please Tape Scolohofo Date: Fri, 10 Jan 2003 19:49:15 -0500 What is Scolohofo? Scolohofo is a quartet featuring guitarist John Scofield, saxophonist Joe Lovano, bassist Dave Holland and drummer Al Foster. Like www.Modereko.com (in its original incarnation), the group draws its moniker from each musician's last name. The band, which toured in 1999 and 2002, recently spent two days in the studio recording its debut album. All of the tracks were recorded live with no overdubs. Titled Oh!, the disc is due out January 28 on Blue Note Records. The band will perform six nights at Iridium Jazz Club in New York City from February 4 - 9. There will be an 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. show each night. To make reservations, call 212-582-2121 More information is available at www.iridiumjazzclub.com Ron and Dan - hope you and the New York crew can make some of these shows!
