Date: Sat, 11 Jan 2003 07:43:09 -0800 (PST) Hi folks, I know people always ask these generic questions but after reading the FAQs and perusing the Internet I am totally confused as to what DAT component to buy for home use. I have a Sony DATMAN and wan tot try and record some shows. Make some DAT dubs and CDr dubs as well. Eventually get into trading jazz (hint). I also am confused about SCMS (the copy hindering thing I read about n the FAQ's). Anyhow, anyone have any practical, down to earth advice for an intelligent but technically uninformed person? Since I had someone back out on two Tix for the Febuary Lyle Lovett, Guy Clark, Joe Ely and John Hiatt I will post this now. Tix will go back to box office on Monday if no one is interested. These seats are 4th row center on the floor! Please let me know if you are interested. Hate to see great seats go to non-tapers. Peace, Michael __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. Sign up now. http://mailplus.yahoo.com

From: "Chris Black" <chris_melas01@hotmail.com> Subject: Concatenating in Sound Forge? Date: Sun, 12 Jan 2003 02:05:44 -0500 Hey Folks, Just wondering if anyone knows the "proper" way to concatenate files using Sound Forge. Does the "Snap to" function insure that there will be no anomaly between the joined tracks if I just paste one file after the other? Or is there an easier way to open a number of files at the same time into the same project? I've searched the help files but haven't come up with anything. Also, I'd appreciate any insight into mixing sources (i.e. overlaying a sbd or stage source with an audience source). So far, in my preliminary fooling around, I've used the Paste Special > Mix function, aligning the sources by sight. Wondering if there's a more precise, automatic way?
