Tape 2 mins then tape starts rewinding, let it go back an hour then start it again 11/14/02-I was tailgating with my friends. I was in my seat by the start time of 7:30 but she doesnt go on until almost 8. A few songs in I am about to explode. So I reluctantly leave only to grab an empty cup in the lobby and go right back in and do the deed in a crowded aisle inside. Luckily my ineptitude didnt carry over into the headliners set most of the time... __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. I also have a Kenwood KDT-99r that will accept the tape, fast forward it for a short time but won't play the tape and then ejects it.. Any thoughts? If you aren't interested in seeing prints of original oil paintings of animals, at the lowest prices ever offered, for yourself or your kids, no need to even read further. This is most of a letter I sent to customers who have bought from me before. I cut out a couple of sentences relating to this being directed to existing and prior customers. If anyone is interested in reading comments from people who have been my customer before, let me know, and I will direct you to eBay feedback from people who have bought this merchandise before. I also have auctions of groups of smaller items on eBay, mostly more than 50% off. Search Seller LBDeals to find these auctions. I wanted to let you know about a limited sale I am running. From now, until 2/10/03, I am running a 25% off retail price sale, on purchases of $100 of retail priced merchandise or more. To take advantage of this sale, please go to www.wallsofthewild.com and select the merchandise you'd like. Please do not try to place the order through the website. All discounted merchandise must be purchased through me, at the e-mail you received this offer from. You are receiving this offer, because you have purchased Walls of the Wild merchandise from me before. There is also a mirror of the Walls of the Wild website at www.wotwild.com I can also be reached at keith@wotwild.com UPS Ground Shipping during this sale is $6 for the first 2 items, and $2 for each additional item. All items will be shipped directly from Walls of the Wild to the customer. If you have any questions, please contact me at either the e-mail you received this offer from, or the e-mail linked in this e-mail. Please do not contact the web site operator, my brother, as he has authorized me to operate this limited sale. Please do not contact any other vendors off Walls of the Wild merchandise to request a similar discount. Other vendors of this merchandise are not getting merchandise at enough of a discount for a sale of this nature to be profitable, and it may cause problems between the other vendor's and Walls of the Wild, which would cause this sale to be stopped early. -- If you love animals, check out www.wotwild.com. Contact me for 25% off sale through 2/10/03. Your kid's will love them. ------------------------------ From: Richard Levy Subject: FT: Danko, Manuel, Hudson 4/4/85 Reading, PA Reply-To: liverich@sunlink.net Date: Sun, 12 Jan 2003 17:16:28 -0500 A friend just converted his master, and it sounds great. So far, in my preliminary fooling >around, I've used the Paste Special > Mix function, aligning the sources by >sight. Wondering if there's a more precise, automatic way? I've only concatenated files once using Sound Forge, but I'll share what I found out. Going through the help, I found that if you place the cursor at the end of a file and then paste, Sound Forge will append the pasted section immediately at the end. If the two files were originally together (such as mine that got split up by dat2wav), they fit together perfectly and there is no audible artifact to suggest they were separate. However, Sound Forge does not do any magic to make sure that two disparate sources fit together. Most likely there will be an imbalance between them, which will cause some sort of undesireable effect. For mixing multiple sources, I'd recommend that you look into a multi-track system such as Cool Edit or Vegas Video (also made by Sonic Foundry). I personally use Vegas video, although I also have Cool Edit and have yet to give it a good workout. Either are designed to work with multiple tracks, which offers you more flexibility. You can individually adjust the overall gain of each track, and insert volume and pan envelopes to control each separately. You also can continue to add as many tracks as you need. As an example, I just recently made a concert DVD using Vegas Video. Since someone else edited the video, all of my attention was on the audio. I started by inserting one track for the soundboard and another of the audience recording. I then synced the two so that they fit together, then I adjusted the gain of each track until I was happy with the mix. Then I proceeded through the session. The two sources were not clocked exactly the same, so every so often I'd have to insert another track of the audience recording, mute the track (using the volume envelope) until the point I wanted to insert it, fade between the original track and this one, and then mute the rest of the track. I continued this until I had a perfect sync across the entire hour - it took about six audio tracks. Then I went back and started tweaking some of the defects. The soundboard recording had a number of problems, including one point where there was a bit of unwanted noise. Because the tracks were separate, I was able to notch out the noise on the one track without affecting the others. In the finished project you can only hear the edit with some critical listening, and it is not distinguishable from the effect of someone walking in front of a mic. It sounds infinitely better that the original noise chirp which was distracting. It always helps to have the right tools.
