The cable that Denon ships with the unit is, in fact, the same as the audio splitter cable they include. The only difference is the double "ring" (tip, ring, ring, sleeve) 1/8 inch plug, but a regular audio splitter (tip, ring, sleeve) seems to work fine. If you want to roll-your-own and make a compliant cable, you would have to find a tip, ring, ring, sleeve 1/8 inch plug (I remember a link to an electronics site that had these showing up on DATheads a while back, but I can't find it in a search). I'd just buy a high-grade splitter cable and be done with it. -- Wayne D.
