Hi All,
I have recently suggested the Edirol UA-1D to this list for doing DAT >
Harddrive transfers. Forgive me, but this may have not been the best
suggestion. Like the Creative Labs products, this USB Device resamples
everything to 48kHz on input and is NOT a bit perfect device. Here's a link
to a very interesting read regarding this matter.

I need a coaxial cable to connect a Denon DTR-80P to a Zoltrix Nightingale
soundcard.
Can someone give me a link to a schematic for this cable, or explain exactly
how to make one? I'm handy with a soldering pencil.

I posted to DATheads awhile back about this:
http://www.solorb.com/dat-heads/digests/V6.400/D439#Msg12
Essentially, you can use a regular 1/8 inch stereo > RCA R/L cable
available at any electronics outlet. The cable that Denon ships with
the unit is, in fact, the same as the audio splitter cable they include.
The only difference is the double "ring" (tip, ring, ring, sleeve) 1/8
inch plug, but a regular audio splitter (tip, ring, sleeve) seems to
work fine. If you want to roll-your-own and make a compliant cable, you
would have to find a tip, ring, ring, sleeve 1/8 inch plug (I remember
a link to an electronics site that had these showing up on DATheads a
while back, but I can't find it in a search). I'd just buy a high-grade
splitter cable and be done with it.
